Doesnt work / dreadful after care
Very disappointed with the service surrounding this product; also it doesn't work! The lamp seems well made and substantial, and looks very nice. However, it's - other than as an ornament - fairly useless. Once lit, the flame went out in a few seconds because there are no ventilation holes at the base of the burner. Although Ares responded quickly to my complaint, their advice was to drill a hole in the glass (!!!) myself. When I advised I wanted a functioning lamp, they offered a partial refund as apparently the postage, to quote, was too expensive for them to send a replacement lamp!! After quite a few iterations, they committed to send a new glass, with the necessary vents in it. 10 weeks later this still hasn't arrived, despite a number of chase ups. Ares keep stating it will be sent soon but no sign of despatch or arrival. Frankly, I'm unimpressed that they sell non functioning items and extremely unimpressed that they appear totally uncommitted to making good their failings. I had initially planned to buy half a dozen more of these - certainly won't be now.

... with oil as there is no air - looks nice which is a shame
As per other reviews the product doesn't work with oil as there is no air - looks nice which is a shame. i don't understand why they didn't think of sending a lamp that works as they could do very well ;0(
