Salomon Women's X Ultra Pioneer Climasalomon Waterproof Hiking Shoe

These are great shoes with great arch support. Grip in most situations isn't bad. Not great on ice. Nice color and they seem to last quite well. The only shoes of this type my wife can find that fit this well, function good as an all around shoe as well as for hiking. She has this type and the water proof one and loves them both. Not cheap but worth the cost for the great support.

I bought it used and it said it had cosmetic damage but it barely looked touched.Seems someone may have just tried it at home and returned. Soles did not look used.I have the same Salomon on mid boot and love it.I bought the lower one bec it takes less space to take on trips when we may do short hikes.I love Solomon and this model has been even better than my older one.Light and enough room on toes that is very comfy.I’m 69, have a bunion and these shoes are perfect for hiking just out of the box.Fit same as the boot which I have been using for a couple of years for a couple of 4 mile hikes per month.

First impressions from my wife are very positive. Fit is snug but comfortable. It remains to be seen how they perform.

I bought these shoes because they look very similar to the X Ultra Version 3 model. They are very similar in everything except the lacing system and a very important difference is the insole, the quality leaves a lot to be desired. I found myself having to use the insoles from the other shoes. I share the photos of the Salomon X Ultra Pioneer shoes with the reference Salomon X Ultra 3.

Excellent shoes. I wear a 6 wide and have found these shoes fit perfectly. I spend a lot of time outdoors in all kinds of weather and get a lot of wear out of each pair. They aren't the best for hours walking on pavement or sidewalks because of the stiffer soles but they are superior on turf, forest trails, or landscaping projects.

One of the shoes is defective. The look where the La e goes through on the left shoe is missing. Unfortunately, I currently live in Mexico and as this item didn’t ship there directly I had to have it shipped via an importer in California (adding more shipping and tax costs). I didn’t have a problem with this, these were replacement shoes for worn out ones so I knew they would be fine and took that chance. Unfortunately, the shipper either didn’t check or didn’t care that these shoes were defective. I would have been ok if I had made n error in the order, but to have defective shoes sent and no way to return them from out of the country is disappointing. Even more disappointing is that Amazon only offered a 15% refund for the shoes. Overall, just a disappointing situation and I’m stuck with shoes that I can’t use as the foot moves around too much in the shoe with the bottom loop missing. Even more disappointing as I cannot figure out now who the seller actually was.

Salmon delivers with comfort, stability and waterproofing right from the start. This is my second pair, same model, and color. The tread and arch support are substantial for trails, boulders and granite slabs. You will go beyond the miles in these hikers.
