I couldn't believe how dirty the water was after cleaning 2 necklaces and a few pair of earrings! They were so clean and shiny they looked like new. I did use 2 capfuls of the blitz cleaner.

This ultrasonic cleaning machine is very simple. There is one button and it starts the three minute cleaning cycle. That's the only option; three minutes, unless of course you press it again after the cycle ends. Then you start another three minute cycle. Is three minutes enough? I used to have a cleaner with an on and off switch that would let you run it forever. I typically cleaned things for 20-30 minutes. It's just not an option with this machine. I don't know if that's satisfactory or not.I did a couple of tests after I opened it. The first thing I cleaned was a pair of eyeglasses. The results were okay. Obvious dust was cleaned. I'm not sure what I expected, but I wanted to try a more aggressive test so I got the dirtiest thing I could find - an ear and nose hair trimmer - yuck. I removed and cleaned just the business end, the blade end. Just to make sure, I ran two cycles. See the attached before and after pics. There's even a pic of the tank after the cleaning, showing what was left when I poured out most of the water.Just for kicks, I did something you absolutely should never do, I took the other half of the trimmer, the electronic half, I removed the battery, immersed it in water, and ran it through a cleaning cycle. Warning: don't do this as water can ruin your nose hair trimmer.Afterwards, I let it dry for a full day, plugged in the battery, connected it to the blade half, and fired it up. It purrs like a kitten now! It used to barely even come on. I'd have to turn it off and on several times to get it to work. Now it instantly hums.That was a long way to go just to tell you that the cleaner did it's job well. Oh, I used a couple of drops of dishwashing detergent with water in the tank. Put the water in first. Otherwise, you'll have a lot of bubbles.

Perfect way to clean the jewelry while getting other things done!

I followed the directions. Filled the reservoir with water. Had a difficult time plugging the 12V power supply into the cleaning unit. Pressed the button lightly as the instructions say and . . . nothing but a hum. Just the hum, nothing more. No visible vibration in the water tank. No vibration felt when touching the unit. Right out of the box, the unit I received simply doesn’t work. I’ve written the manufacturer. To their credit, they responded very quickly and promised a replacement unit. I'll update my review as needed.Jerry

Ran the 3-minute cleaning cycle twice on an old pair of eyeglasses coated with skin oil and fingerprints. First time with tap water, then again with 125 degree F water. After 2 cycles, didn't remove the skin oil; did remove about half of the fingerprints. Stopped testing after that failure.Some points about ultrasonic cleaners: They don't vibrate off stains. Actually, the vibrations create micron-sized bubbles that implode, blasting off contaminants. The process is called cavitation. Those bubbles are too small to be seen with the naked eye. In operation, all you'll see is a slight rippling of the water surface. That explosive cleaning can damage delicate surfaces or coatings. That's why, e.g., lens manufacturers advise against ultrasonic cleaning. Even many types of gemstones (including some types of diamonds) can be damaged by ultrasonic cleaning.Using cleaning solutions compatible with ultrasonic cleaners would help, or even adding a drop of mild dishwashing liquid. But to clean eyeglasses (which ISN'T recommended by eyeglass lens and frame manufacturers), that shouldn't be necessary.BTW: Never use flammable solutions in an ultrasonic cleaner. Unless you want a front-row seat to a fireball.

This ultrasonic cleaner is super simple to use with a one button on and off control. It comes with a plastic insert for items you may want to protect from direct metal contact and can clean personal items like eyeglasses and toothbrushes in addition to jewelry. I used it for jewelry. There is a before and after close up of a gold coin in a bezel with sticky lotion on it that attracted dirt. This cleaner removed that and more and restored the coin's shine. It also cleaned up my Mt St Helen green glass earrings so the stones glimmer now. You can see the water in the unit's basin turned cloudy and there is visible grit in the bottom of the container. The Clean Haus unit performed well and is reasonably priced. Very nice!

I have used this for retainers, all sorts of jewelry, including fashion and real as well as eye glasses. I LOVE this littler green gem! I run it three times (each session is 3mins) and have had terrific results. For my jewerly I did add a drop of dish soap but washed retainers and eyeglasses with just water. Cleaned all three as good or better than the time consuming traditional ways. Totally earned a coveted spot on my kitchen counter. Please note this is my first cleaner of this kind so have nothing to compare it to. But quite pleased! Overall: recommend

I ordered this ultrasonic cleaner primarily for cleaning some jewelry, and it has exceeded my expectations in that regard. It has effectively removed dirt, grime, and tarnish from my necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and rings, leaving them sparkling clean and looking brand new. The ultrasonic vibration is powerful enough to penetrate even the most intricate designs, reaching every nook and cranny.However, I would caution against using this cleaner for electronic devices or circuit boards. I tried cleaning some boards after I soldered them and did not clean them properly. The ultrasonic waves are probably not suited for this kind of cleaning. It is best to stick to manual cleaning methods for electronic devices.Overall, I am satisfied with the performance of this ultrasonic cleaner for jewelry. It is a convenient and effective way to deep clean my precious pieces without the need for harsh chemicals or excessive scrubbing. Just be mindful of its limitations when it comes to electronic boards.
