I missed the return window on this. The handles dont work. the sections will come loose with use

It work as expected, but break after one day is use after tamping 100 sq-ft. It can be repaired by drilling two holes on the post. I am using it for two day now, and it is almost break again at the same location due to the weak post material. You may replace it with the wood post, it may last longer. Suggest purchasing "one piece" design if instead of this assembly design.

This tamper arrived very well packaged, each segment of the handle in an individual, thick nylon sleeve and the main foot in a bubble wrap bag, with foam planks on the top and bottom of the thick cardboard box. No wonder it arrived in perfect condition, uniform black coating with no chips, no dents or any other blemishes. There are no printed instructions in the box, but the product page on amazon is pretty detailed on assembling and anyway this is easy to put together. But you will need your own keys, none are provided. If you are around 6 ft. tall you will appreciate the long handle, so much more convenient than the usual, short handles for this kind of tool.On the downside, all nuts are plain, not auto-blocking. There is no chance these nuts would stay in place on their own no matter how well tightened, so I have to spend more up-front and get the right kind of nuts. The cotton gloves that come with this are stretchy, but extra-small, do not fit even a medium size hand.
