The King In Red: An Eldritch Monster Romance Paperback – 3 Sept. 2023

It had a slow start, but once you start reading it, you can't stop. I got hooked on the story and could feel the characters' pain and emotions. I actually cried at the end.I loved the ending so much. I understand why the King did what he did. It was necessary.Love always triumphs in the end!

I actually really enjoyed it. The world building, the story, the characters. It was a really lovely read. I will be checking out more by this author.

There was a lot of mystery and suspense in this book.The King was cute - a cutie monster - but only to her and I liked that. But I have to admit I was a bit sad that he had a mask even until the end.(Spoilerwarning)I hoped because he let the souls go and has the love of Jade that he would heal enough not to see himself as a monster anymore. Or at least not feel the need to hide his face in her presence anymore (if that makes sense).But it was a sweet -sometimes a bit scary- read with an happy ever after so I‘m all in all really happy with this book.

This will forever a book I wish I could again for the first time.If you're new to monster romance, this is definitely a lovely introduction to the series.The circumstances was dire, but the reasoning behind it was such a sad story.Our monster was so calm and caring and paid special attention to our FMC.It wasn't overly graphic, there was zero torture or overly graphic scenes besides the 🌶🌶🌶/5 spice.It was a surprisingly lovely love story.Thank you Ava Hall for sharing this with us.

I loved this story it actually kept me reading which is rare. But there were a few plot holes and things that were never explained. The beginning was unnecessarily long and dragged until it got to the point of the story. I felt like that could have been halved. It spent too long on personality details that could have been explained in a paragraph and too long on someone who played no part in the story. Besides that I will be reading more books from this author.
