It has been a privilege as well as a pleasure to read such a fantastic story! I first read this online when it was in its drafting stages over a year ago and I fell absolutely in love with it. I could not begin to describe how excited I was when I heard this was to be published in novel form.All the classical mythology included has clearly been brilliantly researched, read and understood. Not only that, the characters, the settings and the story are depicted with stunning detail, especially the love and the passion shared between the infamous Hades and Persephone.I can wholeheartedly say that is novelists like Rachel Alexander who do truly inspire fellow authors such as myself to not only keep writing, but to take an interest in folklore and more that have been something of legend for centuries.If you are looking for a story that is in tune with the Greek classics and can vividly explore all motives and emotives of life, even in the spectacular world of the deathless Greek Gods, this novel is for you!

I loved the Greek Myths growing up and this a really interesting take on the tale of Hades and Persephone. I thought it was well written and the main characters were complex and appealing. I really enjoyed this one - stayed up finishing it! Will definitely be reading the next instalment when it is released.

I love Greek methodology, I definitely enjoy the this spin on the Hades and Persephone story. Definitely a favourite of mine. The characters are realistic and interesting, I would definitely recommend it.

I had the chance to read the entire project when it was available online and having talked to the author and seen her knowledge over other websites, I just had to buy this in order to support her.She has fantastic knowledge of the subject matter and it's really impressive just how much research has gone into this book. The story is fresh, even if it is a retelling of the myth and there is so much more to it than you would imagine.If you have a love for Greek Mythology, I highly recommend getting this, especially if you love romance.

Too much sex; it's on almost every other page and not enough conversation or plot line. Good concept poorly executed. Couldn't finish the novel.

I spent a whole Saturday afternoon gripped by this tale of passion and love between the two gods who really deserve happiness! Would love to talk to the author more about her writing process -- how she released her story originally a chapter at a time. Thank you for sharing this amazing book!

Great plot, compelling characters, very well put together. Very few, minor spelling mistakes that were EASILY looked over and didnt hinder the story. Romance scenes were steamy and not vulgar in any way.

This book was so amazing. I sat down with my Kindle, and I don't think I looked up from it until I finished the book hours later. I started reading expecting to hate Hades, but he was so well written and stole my heart. Persephone grew into this great, bad-ass character who stood up for herself, and I absolutely loved her character development. Seriously, you won't be able to put it down.

All of my favourite things together in a beautifully created story. Very excited to start Destroyer of Light! Excellent work!

I just finished reading this book yesterday and honestly, I freaking loved this book. I love how the author portrayed Hades and Persephone and the other gods and goddesses.The retelling of this classic myth was really good and she did well on her research in greek mythology. I loved the book so much, I immediately bought the sequel Destroyer of Light. If you like the story of Hades and Persephone, Romance, and Greek Mythology then this book if for you.

At first, reading the description I though it would be an overly cheesy book, that would have no journey or thrilling moments that captivate me but I was immediately surprised from how smooth and thrilling the book is. Definitely, recommend this book and the sequel.

Great book! I read it without pause, anxious to know what happens next! The pace is perfect, the narration flows while Persephone grows to be Queen. Everything is supported by the author's detailed research of Ancient Greece, and the reader follows the story while learning more about a different society with different values. Everyone who likes mythology should read this book, even if English isn't everyone's first language.

I read it on fanfiction.net and was more than willing to pay that small amount of money to read the story again.The author informed herself about greek mythology and i couldn't find any wrongs yet!The love scenes are steamy but not cheap.I read the book again and again and can't wait for the following books. This is one of the most well-researched books I have ever read. The effort put into the story, the characters, everything, it shows. I love the writing style and the mature scenes are written very tastefully.
