Engaging!
Love love love this book! It was a Christmas gift for my 8 year old. She loves reading about the differnt women in this book and it has even encouraged her to research them further. Highly recommend for any little girls. It's an easy read for a beginner and the book asks questions that spark conversation and keeps them engaged. Super educational, I have even learned things reading this book.

Is it Possible to achieve an award, run a mile, become an inventor, or more?
In today’s world everyone knows the name of Taylor Swift, but did you know that kids used to make fun of her, and tease her until she felt she would never fit in? She like most of us felt so left out of things, felt, dumb, ugly stupid. Learn what she did and how she overcame what she felt she lacked when a young girl became the Star she is today.Do you like to do puzzles? Make things with your hands? Invent new things or a way to do something? Growing pains is more than body growing pains, it’s going through all the feeling of not being enough (pretty enough, smart enough, tall enough strong enough, etc.) We all go through this and survive and grow up to be functioning adults; even though at 12-18 we doubt ourselves and think we will Never make a life for ourselves. This wonderful book talks of; Ella Fitzgerald and her love of song, Nelly Bly and her writing to expose the plight of women; Anne Sullivan her teaching of Helen Keller, and the list goes on. Giving girls of all ages a glimpse of what these well-known women were like as young girls trying to find their place in the world.A very inspiring look into the lives of famous women and their early lives before they found themselves.

I liked that it was short, but wish there were more stories. It is very inspirational l. But sometimes when you read these kind of books you don't feel accomplished because of what those people have done

Girls like me.
This book is inspiring, and fun. I wish I would of had it when I used to teach school. One of my many jobs was an NCR electronic technician and I was the only female repair person.

Cheap print
This is a very good, interesting, book but it’s a cheap digital print copy by Amazon: I’d expect better quality for the price.Having said that, 8-year-old loves it and told me she doesn’t care what it looks like.

An exhaustive review of this topic
This book has many many examples of inspiring stories and they seem to have been carefully selected to cover a wide range of successes and niches within which the characters have been successful. It even includes Taylor Swift which I wasn't expecting since these types of books usually include only famous scientists and artists (in the more traditional sense). I also enjoyed the art style and the way that the explenations where very age appropiate and therefore accessible to young kids

Inspiring for little girls
I loved that these stories of awesome women have been adapted so well for young readers. I especially liked when the story captured the qualities of the women that demonstrated their resilience, or hard work developing their talent, or sheer "stickability", the writer incorporates some questions to the young reader to help them think about how they can incorporate such qualities. That makes for a more interactive quality to this book.
