It is big and holds a lot of stuff
Don’t know about durability or waterproofing we still wrap our suitcase in plastic, nothing else seemed to get wet but it was brand new and never used but it is BIG hold a lot of stuff. You will need to check straps in first 25 to 50 miles and tighten but seem to hold good after that. Safty first they should always be checked At every stop you make sure they are tight

Every vehicle modder should have this or one like it!
If you are like me and make modifications to your vehicle this should definitely be in your toolbox! I recently did some modifications to my jeep like installing Rock Lights, USB Modules for cameras, a PowerTank and a few more things and this tool helped with all of these. Anytime a new device gives you nuts and bolts or better yet sheet metal screws I through most of that hardware in a box and pull out this handy tool. Gone are the days of rivets, using a nut and bolt trying to hold the bolt head on the back side of some install. Simply use this and give yourself permanent nuts where you can then screw in bolts and remove them with ease! For those who don't understand what this tool is let me explain it without pictures.Lets say you need to mount something. Lets say your only option is a sheet metal screw because you do not have access to the back side of what ever your mounting too. Simply pull out this tool. It comes with what we refer to us nutserts. They look like a combination of a nut and a rivet. That is because that is exactly what they are. What you do is instead of screwing in a sheet metal screw you drill the hole the exact size of the nutsert and the nutsert has what looks like a built in washer. You simply put the nutsert on the tool insert the nutsert through the piece of metal so the nut part is on the OTHER side of the metal. The only thing that keeps the nutsert from going through is the built in washer and the tool itself. So you have the place your mounting too. You drilled a hole the size of the body of the nutsert. You inserted the nutsert in to that hole so the actual nut part of that nutsert is on the back side ( the side where you normally would hold a nut on but can't because you do not have access to that side right? ) Then you simply squeeze the handles together. What is happening now is that nutsert is compressing on the back side of the metal and creating a permanent nut on the back side so instead of holding a nut ( which you can't right ) it is like you just welded a nut on that back side. Simply unscrew the tool (which is like the bolt you are about to put in from the front side) and walla you have a permanent nut on the proper side of that piece of metal. Now instead of screwing in the mount using sheet metal screws that you can only do a few times before the hole would be useless and or the screw itself you can not unbold and re-bolt to that nut as many times as you want ( within reason of course )The tools works great but there are some things you should be aware of. You need to have pretty good access to the front side. The tools is not small and does require you to squeeze the handle to flatten out the nutsert so if you have limited space this tool will not work for you. But if you do have space there is nothing else I do besides nutserts anymore. This particular tool is professional grade. Strong with a good set of adapters for both standard and metric bolts. Check the description to insure that it has the correct size for your project or upcoming projects! This is no harbor freight or northern tools nutsert tool. Don't get me wrong I love Harbor Freight (West Coaster here) and they have tools for most uses but for a tool like this get a quality well built tool that will last you years! Nutserts are usually available (here on amazon of course) or at your local nut and bolt supply house if you need them fast.

Weatherproof and sturdy
This bay works. I was able to fit 5 carry on bags and 2 gym bags in it. We did a 6000 mile round trip road trip. We ran into some rain storms and nothing got wet inside the bag. It’s sturdy and the straps it comes with are more than enough. It didn’t need tie downs. We love it. Recommended!

Tool broke after setting the first rivet nut (update vendor sent replacement)
Update: after about a week and a half the vendor did get in touch with me and replaced the entire tool set on their dime. I haven't had a chance to use the new tool yet but I have to commend them for trying to make the situation right.I really wanted to like this tool, it was packaged in a nice case, looked professional, and came with a number of mandrels. Unfortunately that's about all I have good to say.I needed to set a dozen 10-24 rivet nuts into a sheet metal windshield frame on a Jeep. There are no guidelines included to let you know what drill bit you will need, so make sure you have calipers on hand. Without having previously used this tool I wasn't sure what the proper amount of pressure should be to properly set the rivet nut. To error on the side of caution I let up on the first rivet nut with about 1/3 travel remaining on the tool. The rivet nut compressed, but not enough to keep it from spinning under tension. Ok, lets go on to set the next one and see if we get better results. Well, on the second rivet nut the threaded portion of the mandrel snapped off in the nut while the rivet was compressing. So after using this tool twice I spent the next 45 minutes with a hammer and punch tapping the remnants of the mandrel out of the rivet nut and unable to complete the job. Looking at the attached photo you can see that the mandrel is cheaply made from pot metal.Frustrated, I figured I'd contact the vendor and see if they would send me another mandrel as a replacement. Inside the tool case they include a warranty registration card advertising a 30 day money back guarantee, 12 month warranty from the date of purchase and lifetime technical support within 24 hours. Its now been several days since contacting the vendor and letting them know my frustrations and I have not received any communication back.If you value your time save your money and buy something of better quality, even if you only need to complete one or two small jobs.
