took like 5 minutes to set it up, maybe 10 minutes to get the clog cleared, 10 more to clean up. wow! My clog was like 40 feet down the tube and tough, used the coil head and just let it work its way through it, job done. mine worked perfect, quality appears strong but only used it 10 minutes so who knows. Buying via Amazon prime takes the pressure off with the return policy, no way i return it though.

My small powered snake wasn't long enough to clear my main drain to the septic tank so bought this 50' unit. Simple to use and worked well. Plumber wanted $355 for the job, so paid for this snake and saved $100.Gloves furnished with unit were junk. Buy some heavy leather gloves.Twisting of the line is going to happen, so recommend turning the drum off and on with the foot switch and feeding the line in stages, because holding the switch during a twist can trap and mash your fingers!FedEx shipping took over a week and tracking info was useless giving a delivery date and time, then stating there was a delay and revising the date. I got 7 emails giving then revising the date. If you need it right away you can buy the same unit locally for about $60 more.

The main drain from my house is a 3" pipe that runs about 30' to my septic tank. It had become overgrown with roots and was starting to back up into my house during times of heavy water usage. I was going to call a plumber out to clear the drain, but after spotting this for only $170, I ordered it right away.Operation was straightforward and the instructions were concise but helpful for someone who'd never used a power snake before. Everything I needed (including the gloves) was right in the box. I opted to use the included arrow cutter. Ran a slow stream of hot water down the drain to help wash away debris and keep things lubricated while I worked, and this thing tore out all the roots without any problem. Cleanup was a breeze as well. The snake was pretty clean from the hot water I had flowing while I worked, but as I fed it back into the drum, I ran it under my garden hose and then dragged the snake through a bath towel to help dry it as it loaded back into the drum. I have it sitting in front of a box fan right now to take care of any residual moisture.Only main con I found was I feel the machine spins too fast. If it snags, it can get away from you pretty quickly. And if you've not used one of these before, it can be a bit surprising how quickly the snake can coil up and start whipping around at high speeds. I ended up modulating speed when necessary by tapping on and off of the foot switch. I also found that the snake seemed to be a bit tangled inside the drum, which made pulling it out a bit hard at times. To resolve this, I just pulled the entire length of snake out and then fed it back in, which only took a minute or two. This unit does not have wheels or an auto-feed, but at this price point, I have no gripe with giving up those luxuries.Overall, I'd definitely call this a good buy if you have a relatively short main drain that will require periodic cleaning of roots. At the same price as a service call to a plumber, you really can't go wrong here. One use and I've already broken even.

Perfect for a small restaurant.

The media could not be loaded.  If I could give this product zero I would! Don't waste your time or money.. we ordered it because we were having drainage issues.. we ordered it, it came pretty quickly ill give it that, first you have to put the belt on... took a little bit sure no problemBUT as we put it down the pipe and went to step on the little pedal that makes it run...IT DIDNT WORK.. we were so disappointed!!! we were so hopeful, so we put it back in the box and had to call a plumber. In my opinion it was a waste of time, money and frustration.

I want to write a review on the this drain cleaner and this company. The quality of this product is exceptional, however it wasn't exactly what I needed. This company went over and above to fix that issue. I would highly recommend this vendor and the products they sell. They stand behind their tools and have excellent customer service. Definitely give them a try for your plumbing needs as I did. You will not be disappointed. Quality tools and quality service!

I used the drain cleaner in January of 2023. It worked like a champ! It cut through and removed a very large mass of tree roots that were lodged in the main sewer line that runs from my house to the street outside. Seven months later, I went to use it again for only the second time and it the motor would only run for 3-4 seconds at a time. Obviously, this made its use meticulous and frustrating. It would seem that the problem is in the pneumatic foot pedal. I would press the pedal and the machine's drum would start rotating but would stop soon thereafter. If I waited a few seconds for the foot pedal to "re-inflate" I could again get the machine to work for a few seconds before having to repeat the process. It took some work on my part to find out how to get in touch with the correct tech support to hopefully remedy the problem, but I did eventually get in touch with someone who asked me to send a screen shot of my purchase info from Amazon and a video of the machine in operation demonstrating the problem. A day later, I got an email asking for the same information. A day after that I got a followup email informing me that my video has been passed along to the appropriate department at which time a determination of how to remedy the situation will be made. Fingers crossed. I really like the product and plan on using it regularly to ensure my sewer pipe is clear. If I remember, I'll post an update. Classic problem with a lot of products these days. In order to save a few dollars per unit, they use a cheap part that turns out to be essential for the operation of the product (I once had a garage door opener fail because the main gear inside it was made of plastic. I'd have gladly paid more to get one with a metal gear but that was not an option).

The machine works well. But the supplement heads are a bit too big to go to the drains. I may have to buy some smaller ones from somewhere else.
