Someone ran over my old mailbox so I whipped together a double-post, boxed it in, added a steel mailbox and some nice big numbers. At the time I decided the numbers looks better off to the side, which left a space open for…something. When I saw these metal decorative geckos, I knew it was meant to be!I didn’t measure, I just purchased and decided I would find a way to make them fit on there. They are the perfect size for that space I left open all those months ago! In hindsight, I would say they meet the dimensions in the listing, though I have not actually measured them.The entire thing is metal, including what seems to be colored stones on the bodies. I kept thinking they were stones from the photos. There is only one hanging tab on these, towards the heads. You will be hanging these upright or getting creative if you want them handing sideways or upside down. Light weight, so you probably will not require anchors to hold them in the wall. Because mine are on my mailbox, I ran zip ties through the box slats between my posts and fastened tightly to each of the geckos wire frames. Nice and secure and should hold up to heavy rain or big winds!Oh! They arrived carefully wrapped in packaging tissue paper, inside the manufacturer’s box, so they didn’t scratch or lose paint due to abrasion. Win!
