Used for a Saluda kayak cockpit cover but best choice for any marine application
I couldn't find a good ready-made product to cover the long cockpit in my new LiquidLogic Saluda kayak, so used this fabric to sew one. Even though it is stored angled downward on a rack, rain would still get into it and puddle in the gunwale. This fabric is tough stuff with a waterproof coating on the underside. You won't need a hot knife to cut it as the coating keeps the fabric from fraying.Notes: Be aware that the width is actually 59" (not 60" as advertised). I only bought a yard and had to add a strip at the bow to get the total length needed with seam allowance. (I used that seam to add a web strap to make it easier to put it on.) Use a heavy-duty machine (I have a walking foot type for doing upholstery) and Selric UV poly thread (Amazon) for best durability. 1/4" thick bungee cord is perfect for this (also Amazon) but took some extra effort to get the gathers even and short enough to give a firm attachment around the lip of the opening, but not so short it wouldn't fit. It's on there tight, but a robust fitting for sure. There is a vid on YouTube where Crafty Patti makes a cover from a tablecloth, good ideas there. Pro tip: She threads the light duty elastic through afterwards... but if you fasten the relaxed bungee cord in in prior to sewing the tunnel and pinning it well out of the way of the stitches, I'd recommend doing that instead. Make sure you give yourself a good 1 inch fold and 3/4 stitched seam. I couldn't find a cord lock that had big enough holes to get the bungee through (even the advertised 1/4" holes are slightly smaller) so for now I simply have it securely tied off in a square knot.

Used this fabric to repair some tears in our hot tub cover. Very good quality and color matched perfectly.

Excellent awning material
This material worked great to make my awnings. Heavy enough and plainly waterproof. I did need stronger needles to sew, but that’s not a big problem.

IT IS NOT SUN FADE RESISTANT
Used it to patch a boat cover that was chewed by squirrel. Very similar finish and seems to be holding up well.***UPDATE July 2024- After a month in the outdoors this fabric faded to a light purple and is definitely not sun fade resistant and would not recommend for any outdoor use if you care about colour of fabric. I will try to post photos in future
