Tama HP50 Classic Drum Pedal

I bought this for my bop kit which has an18inch bass drum. I wanted to lower the pedal and get the striking zone closer to the middle of the drum.This has worked great for that, and plays really well.It's light weight, but so far has held up to several gigs and regular jam nights.

Loved this pedal straight out of the box. Very innovative design. Tried it on 18 inch bass drum and then on 22 inch. Change over was painless. This is a pedal for life at an affordable price.

A classic design, great functional, adjustable, playable and solid pedal. Feels very sturdy. Great practical features, folds down neatly and does not weigh a ton! Sometimes the simple ideas are the best? A great kick drum pedal.... And I've tried a lot more expensive ones too!

This is a great mid range pedal, very innovative, well made, extremely flexible in function.The supplier dlvd in days and at a great price for such a superior product.

Very good value pedal. Pros: height adjustment, lightweight, folds, inexpensive (so you can buy a back-up), with some tweaks can be made to feel like more solidly built single spring pedals. Cons: clamp to drum hoop and pedalboard itself could be more robust, but not a dealbreaker; the standard felt beater isn’t cheap on its own (if it’s the same as they offer individually) but replace with a standard softer felt and the sound benefits, especially on smaller bass drums; spring is lightweight tension and noisy, so replace with a DW spring with felt insert (the produces a much stronger and responsive pedal action; just make sure to use the spring only and adjust the arm as necessary to install); oil it well with DW40 and you’re in business. Came with a secondhand kit I bought but I find myself using it for practice more and more.

Great! I bought the lightweight Tama classic hardware pack & wanted the matching bass drum pedal. This doesn’t disappoint! Looks super cool & performs very well. I’ve used lots of pedals in the past & this is a great addition. I use this on my jazz kit but have an old iron cobra for the 22 kick. I’ve not tried it on the 22 but it seems very capable so it’s a thumbs up from me.
