I bought this as somewhat of a gag gift, but it's actually really nice. Good solid cotton fabric, fits well, looks good, well made. And it is actually holds a sanitary function in that it covers your hair and catches sweat on your brow. If you do want to wear a hat like this for looks or function, this one's not bad.

I would love to say that I love this hat. After all, the materials seem to be really durable and would allow for breathability, all while keeping shape. Functionally, a chef hat is designed to help keep hair, sweat, and other human particles out of the food. This hat absolutely excels at that, in a very unfortunate way: it is simply way too tight, so much so that absolutely nothing is leaving my noggin. Thanks to the elastic band, it does stretch out enough to fit around my head, but to say it is snug is an understatement. With it on, my facial muscles aren't even strong enough to move my eyebrows; this is what it must feel like to have botox injections. There is a massive pressure on my skull, to a concerning level. I don't believe I have that big of a head -- save for those moments where a complement inflates my ego -- yet the hat flares out considerably with it on my dome. It looks about three sizes too small. I question the decision to market this as being "adjustable", as there is nothing I can do to adjust it to better fit my size. Very disappointing, considering it is really nice otherwise.
