Favourite book series
In the past couple of weeks I've read through this entire series, I just couldn't stop reading. Absolutely gripping, especially when you're familiar with the areas these books are based in. When you're reading a book in this series you think "right I know where this is going" but then it throws in a curveball and another tastefully written twist.Absolutely, definitely, completely recommended reading.

another easy crime yarn to follow
I do think it's worth reading them in order as there are overarching character plots. Not quality writing but fun.

Ruth Hunter is a great protagonist
Good read - kept my attention until the end

Really good read.
Well I'm from Colwyn Bay so was really strange reading about my home town through someone else's eyes. Locations and Topography obviously a bit jumbled but you have to allow for artistic licence. Great story as usual. I don't write reviews very much but I have to say he's fast becoming one of my favourite authors.

Wonderful author
Very difficult to put down one of Simons' novels, characters are true to life, they actually become friends, true locations, twist after twist in the story.

Brilliant
Another masterpiece and have to say thank goodness Ruth did not retire. Although the books are mostly centered around her it would have been too soon.

Another great crime story.
This is another great crime story, that is full of twists and, misleading statements and complicated personal interactions of the suspects. DI Hunter is still in hospital, after being shot, in the previous book, but progresses well, during the story. The CID Team finally arrest their murderer, after several set backs and the chasing of suspects. I could not put this book down and I'm looking forward to reading the next one, once published.

intriguing
Another story with Ruth and her team, except this time it's the team without Ruth. Ruth is in the hospital trying to survive the gunshot she received on her last case. She had to be placed into an induced coma to heal and we get some of her backstory as she flashes back to points in her life. Meanwhile her team has to find answers as to who and why a young man was locked into a holiday cabin and then that cabin was set on fire killing him. Lots of suspects.

Another Great Read
Very interesting main plot, with accompanying character development of lesser players in the drama to date. Love the unexpected resolution to the crime, and the opening door to the next book.

Good story
It was different reading a story where Ruth wasn't in the center of the action, but it did give the rest of the team room to shine. As usual, the mystery had plenty of twists and turns to keep it interesting. I'm looking forward go the next book.
