Excited
The media could not be loaded. Latest Update: 5/22/2024A week ago, today my quail hatched. Of 14 eggs, 12 Hatched. I am not sure what happened with the other eggs that didn't hatch but it seems they just stopped developing. Out of the 12 quail that hatch, 2 passed. I now have 10, very hyper and eating machines of baby quail. lol. I have learned so much so far, such as you're going to want to grind up your quail food a bit more than it comes to help them be able to eat it. I purchased a coffee grinder from Walmart and just processed it all down. They love it and eat a lot each day. My quail are even growing in their wing feathers now which is really interesting to watch. A couple of them were hatched with curled toes...don't freak out if you see this. It could simply be the size of the shell, or even the humidity in your incubator. But I didn't have to do anything special, and their toes straightened right out in a couple days. Over all, I am very satisfied with this seller and the eggs I got. I feel I had a very successful hatch rate. I will more than likely purchase again in the future once I gain my skills a bit more with what I have.Update: May 11th 2024Today is day 14. So lock down day. Some of my eggs are wiggling and I have also candled all eggs and all 14 eggs have developed properly so far. No dead eggs and no unfertilized. Today I took out the egg turner that turns the eggs every two hours, and I placed paper towel down on the bottom of the incubator and placed all eggs back in, put the humidity to 65, and now we wait. So far so good. Now let's see how many hatches and how many survive the first 48 hours, which is the most important time for baby quail. Will update more to come.(04/27/2024) My eggs arrived all nicely wrapped. I was very careful when removing all the packing stuff so as not to accidentally break them. I checked all eggs, not a single one was damaged. I have them in an incubator that auto turns them every 2 hours. It also has the ability to keep the humidity in the proper zone and an alarm will sound if it goes to much out of range for temp and humidity. I will update when they hatch but so far so good.

Definitely get quail!
I’ll admit after USPS delivered them in 1° weather, I was worried they wouldn’t even develop. They were ice cold. So I reached out to the seller and received a prompt reply that calmed me down. So they’re great if you have questions or concerns.I ordered 12 and got 14. And due to their cold delivery I really appreciated the extras! I did let them sit out in the room for a full 24hrs before putting them in the incubator. On Monday morning, day 18, I had my first pip. And throughout the day I got a total of 8 that hatched. One didn’t make it which is just nature. So I got a technical 75% hatch rate. They are literally the cutest little things I’ve ever seen! Kind of like little tiny acrobats! One is super tiny and is the sweetest little baby, loves to be held! Super easy hatch!

Would not recommend.
If I could give it a 0 star, I would. Only 2 out of 28 eggs showed any signs of development when I cracked them open after incubating. The two that actually developed into a chick didn’t make it when I had to candle at day 21 (none hatched at all). Really a huge waste of money. I’ve gone with a more reputable company for my next batch. When I emailed company outside of Amazon to address these issues, they told me to wait until day 24 to check eggs and to send a picture of all the eggs to them to determine if it had something to do with them. I already cleaned up the mess of checking the eggs (obviously I cleaned up-I’m not leaving rotten eggs out for any reason), so it would have been a waste of my time in addition to a waste of my money. I wouldn’t waste your money on these eggs.Update: no resolution was met from the company, and my “bad review” has ended the conversation between us, as they are not willing to help, especially since I left the honest review.

5 out of 14 hatched
I ordered 12 and received 14, 1 had a crack upon arrival. I followed all of the recommended instructions. 5 hatched, but 1 died within 12 hours after hatching. I now have 4 very healthy and lively females.I’m giving 4 stars because I am completely new to incubating quail so the low hatch rate may have been due to human error. Nevertheless I just ordered 24 more to try again!

Great buy
The media could not be loaded. UPDATE!!!13 of the 14 eggs hatched. All babies are doing well.. so happy with this purchase and the resultsI am so happy with this purchase and the seller. The eggs came packed very nicely none were damaged in the shipping process and 2 bonus eggs. Also came with a getting started card. I waited 24 hrs before I started the incubation process as instructed. After I few days in the incubator checked my eggs out all looked great. They were starting to develop. On day 9 we had a bad power outage due to the storms that have been sweeping through Louisiana that lasted almost 24 hrs. I was worried my eggs would have been a loss but I kept the incubator covered with a blanket to try and keep the heat in it and once we got power restored I kept incubating them praying at-least 1 would make it . Well here we are on day 16 of incubation and I came home to not 1 but 9 hatched eggs and the last 5 eggs are starting to hatch as well. I was so surprised.

very low hatching rate.
shipping took usps, and took over 7 days to show up after the egg was laid or shipping.1 egg was broken when showed up. and 13 out of 14 were good when showed up. so shipping package is ok.Waited for 8 hours then put in incubator. 20 days later, only 1 hatched on the day 16. 2 Eggs were cracked , but no able to come out. The rest were no action. I was expecting 50% hatching rate. I didn't bother to candle the eggs. But it is definitely a huge let down for my daughter after she promised baby quails for her 2 friends to raise and their parents bought equipment.Observed the weather was really cold in my area around the arrival time. Maybe it was due to the weather or due to the extra long shipping time it took. Wont recommend this for anyone living around NYC area.
