It was what I expected

Easy to assemble and I like that it is telescopic. I am not too sure how much actual weight it can hold, minus one star because the connections can seem flimsy if you don’t screw lock it hard enough. Does well with medium sized fish but seems like it would have its issues pull out 10+ lbers

Works well and compact

This gaff is great for landing fish as it has a telescoping handle and is lightweight. I question weather this is strong enough to handle large fish (halibut 50+ lbs) but time will tell. So far, it has been great! Will update when I land a heavier fish.

The main issue I face when fishing the jetty is getting my catch secured BEFORE having to wade into the water on slippery rocks, or worse yet - losing the fish right at the rocks at water's edge. This is a game-changer for all that! This gaff firmly extends out to over 4', so very easy to gaff my fish while standing on dry rocks and not sliding around or getting wet. This is probaby a great accessory to take on small boats too, as it collapses down to be stowed away easily, yet extends out far enough to bring in your fish. Great product!

Nice looking gaff! Great price! Feels moderately strong, I will know if it holds up if I can ever catch a big fish! It feels great and the locks feel strong. I wish the hook was slightly larger and more of a circle shape will help stick it better. Still, feels good and I feel it will hold up well to <40lb fishies, feels ore stiff and strong than my old bamboo stick. This gaff is probably more well suited for use on a kayak or pwc, but I'm using it on a boat and it saves space! Nice telescopic pole makes it easier and safer to stow.Looks fantastic and well made, can't beat the price! Good stuff!
