These brakes are great. Very good value, easy to install since the spring mechanism is detachable. This means you can adjust the brake cables without having to maintain tension on the brakes. Seem very good quality, and have worked fine for the past few weeks since installing.

Arrrived on time. They do work ok when installed but be aware there are no printed instructions. They seem sturdy enough although the noodle (ie the 90 degree curved metal housing) doesn't sit in the pivoted cradle as well as other v brakes i've seen. But it as I said they do work ok when fitted, ie their braking power seems pretty good. I might have spent a bit more cash in retrospect but if they are still working a year from now I won't complain. If installing yourself don't use cheap brake cable which may be more prone to unravelling and get a decent pair of wire cutters (i bought some for £10 from a well known store): if in doubt take some old brake cable to the shop and test them before buying.

Bought as a straight replacement for those that came with my bicycle. Decent quality. There's two pairs in the kit and it comes with spares bolts and noddles. The brake pads that are supplied looked ok but I decided to ditch them in favour of my usual ones so how good the pads supplied are I can't say.

sending them straight back, no way will i risk a brake snapping just to save a few pounds

After 7 years and about 8000 miles my tektro V Brakes began to fall apart, 3 of the 4 metal springs that disengage the brakes had snapped and brakes were rubbing all of the time.The new parts fitted very easily and are as good if not better than new. Especially good value seeing as they come with brake pads!

Worked to fix my kids brakes. Same as what came on the bike, thanks for the parts.

Superb strong and don't flex like the £14 sets. Can't fault these at all.I.need to get new cables now so be on the look out for brake cables
