Eco-Wise Easy Care King

We have a queen bed but a queen winter quilt would not fit in my washer; and I wanted to avoid commercial laundries. I tried a full size quilt but it was too small to keep us warm on cold nights. Because this Pendleton blanket is made of 100% natural wool and most importantly is machine washable AND dryable AND the queen size DOES fit in my washer, I wanted to try it, despite the price. It washed well, gentle, cold; and I used fabric softener for the final extra rinse. It dried very well as follows: 20 min delicate, 20 min air fluff, 20 min delicate again and 20 min air fluff again. It was still slightly damp so I air dried it on two big hangers till fully dry. Note: When wet in the washer it had a strong, fairly unpleasant odor THAT COMPLETELY DISAPPEARED WHEN DRY. It did NOT shrink in the dryer. It is not too heavy to physically handle. It is not super soft after one wash and dry; but is not terribly coarse either. Best of all, it fits our bed well and keeps us warm and very comfortable during cold winter nights. I'm very glad to have this. It is the first wool blanket I have ever bought; and I only bought it because it could be machine washed AND dried. I also like that it is made in USA.

What a great product. You can see and feel the quality of this blanket as soon as you open the package. Amazing comfort and warmth for a blanket that is not really all that heavy. I wish I had gotten one years ago. In the winter I normally layer a couple of blankets but no need for that with this Pendleton. A lot of people will be turned off by the price but a great blanket that you spend 8 hours a day with is worth every penny. This is a blanket that will stay in your family for generations with proper care. Treat yourself to something special.

You don’t need electricity to stay warm. This wool blanket keeps you toasty. It’s great if you let a pet on the bed because you can wash and dry it at home.There are lots of colors available if you hurry.

I searched for days for a blanket that would boost our warmth in our new place. This blanket is well worth the extra cost because it really does the job. My family lives near the water on the central coast of CA, nights dip down to the 30s and 40s on a regular basis, it's forested so it stays cold during the day as well. This blanket is thin but heavy and washed very well. I even took the chance to dry it on extra low heat because it's just so damp here, air-drying is not an option. If it shrank at all, it was not much because it hangs at least 6 inches over the sides of our queen bed after washing and drying. I was nervous about the potential scratchiness of wool, but this (in my opinion) is not scratchy for a wool product. It's built for warmth, not to be a luxurious silky bare-skin type of product. I have 2 woven cotton blankets under it and fleece sheets (which are extra soft and cozy), and the temperature (no heater on while we sleep) is just right. The color is called "caper" I think, which is accurate- it's a muted army green which I like. I highly recommend this product for anyone looking to add an extra layer of warmth to their bedding.

Excellent quality. This blanket is warm. Washes well. When wet it has an odor, but goes away when dry -shows that it’s real wool. Would buy again especially for a bed.

Ordered the blanket because it was washable. I thought this would also mean machine dry as well. WRONG! The product tag said to machine wash, and line dry. Who does that anymore???.........so I had to find someone who still had a clothes line that I could "borrow". That is the only reason for the 4 stars. My husband and I LOVE THIS BLANKET!!!!!! I am happy with this purchase even though the blanket is the scratchy type of wool. I will try to find and buy the wool blanket I was originally searching for when I purchased this one. I am looking for the soft wool that is both machine washable and machine dry. I know they have it at Faribault Woolen Mill in Minnesota and I am waiting on my friends to come in to make sure it is the one we slept under at a recent log cabin resort getaway. Unfortunately the Faribault blanket is also twice as much, but if it is the correct one, the quality is amazing and the wool they use is soooo soft you will end up buying one for everyone in your family. Back to this Pendleton blanket......my husband swears he sleeps better under this blanket than any blanket we have ever used. He does not spend time tossing the covers off and on all night, which results in a much more restful sleep. I believe the wool blankets "breath" and allows better temperature control. It is also light enough that I will be able to leave it on the bed year round. We keep our indoor temperature between 68-70 degrees year round, so this blanket will probably be used all year. Even though it is not the blanket I was originally looking for, I am happy with this and will move it to the guest room if I find the softer "merino" wool blanket that I had originally been looking for.

This blanket is very sturdily built, with a dense weave and excellent insulation for its thickness (this is a heavy blanket). While it isn't very soft, it's also not terribly scratchy ...you notice it when this one creeps up over the sheet and rubs against your neck or face, but not to the point of being itchy or uncomfortably coarse.The way it's built, I expect it to last for many years of daily use, I also suspect that it will soften over the first few washes to the point of being moderately soft, the way quality Mil-surp blankets do.

Love this king size buffalo check Pendleton blanket. Provides warmth but not too warm. Breathable and good looking. Not too thin or too thick. I’m so glad it was everything I was hoping for in a wool blanket. Also, it’s washable!

Estupendo 100% natural, pura lana. Es lo que buscaba, Siempre he evitado la basura de cobijas que tienen petróleo (poliéster).

Laine de qualité. Elle ne pique pas beaucoup, mais elle n'est pas assez douce pour mettre directement sur la peau. Il faut un drap de coton en dessous ou des vêtements. Assez légère, mais assez épaisse pour réchauffer tout de même. Au Canada, ce n'est pas suffisant juste cette couverture, ça prend d'autres couvertures. Elle est amplement grande pour un lit queen.
