Boréal Palatable Zinc Supplement For Dogs 5.5 lb Tub

This stuff is THE STUFF! My Siberian has been suffering from Zinc Responsive Dermatitis and our Veterinarian prescribed a Zinc supplement. After researching various supplements I decided to try Boreal. Initially I was just mixing a tablespoon into a bit of canned pumpkin and either adding it into her food or feeding her pumpkin off the spoon. Rather than mixing every morning and evening (her dermatitis has been rather persistent and the double dose keeps it at bay) I found a no bake dog cookie recipe and substituted the Boreal for the dry ingredient. My Siberian LOVES these cookies!Here is the recipe for a single batch, it can be doubled (as pictured), tripled, or whatever...-1 cup of Boreal Palatable Zinc Supplement-1 cup of plain puréed pumpkin-1/2 cup of sugar free (and sweetener free) Peanut ButterPlace cookies on a parchment lined cookie sheet to freeze without sticking to one another. Once frozen, transfer into a ziplock freezer bag until you are ready to serve your pup.***The peanut butter pictured is just straight up peanuts and less than 1% salt. It was the cleanest prepackaged peanut butter I could find.May this be of benefit!

Not sure yet if works. But our 2 crazy eater labs will eat it with their food but our corgi chihuahua mix picky eater guy doesn’t like it. Trying different things to get get it in him

Note: contacted the comoany directly and they gave me a full refund. I was buying the smaller bags of this product and it seemed to be greatly helping my husky with ZRD, along with her other medications. I decided to buy the tub since I was going to be using the zinc indefinitely. it seemed pretty well sealed, but there was some zinc powder spilled out. the first thing i noticed was the noticeably different color. the smaller bag is a pale yellowish color. the tub was very dark brown. there are also gravel sized hard pieces in the bucket. I had read reviews that said this was fine etc. so i decided to try it. the dog seemed less interested in this powder opposed to the bagged as well. customer service from the company told me they hadn't had any emails about this and it should be safe. i decided to return it, but the company was nice enough to go ahead and credit my account since I was not happy. she has had a noticeable change in symptoms coming back, but i cant say if that's from the zinc or not. Will try to keep this review updated after a few weeks back on the bagged zinc.

I have a black lab who seems to be allergic to just about everything. A friend told me about zinc and I have been using this product for several months now. It really does seem to help. We were going to the vet every other month because he kept cycling into bad skin problems. Now he still flares up at times, but not nearly as severe. Have been able to avoid the steroids and $500 vet bills. He gets one scoop with his evening food. He also gets 2 spoons of low fat yogurt and no other treats.

I have a dog with alopecia. Saw this recommended. After years with dry, brittle coat and bald patches I am slowly seeing new, shinny patches of hair growth. Takes time but is happening!

Love how fast it’s working to fix my Res Dobermans coat. She had bald and flaking spots and now her coat is pretty and shiny. More hair growth. Vets could not help get and this product has. She was deficient on what this product offers. Highly recommended!

I add this as a supplement to my black labs morning meal every day. His coat is always so shiny.

Our dog Arya was put on zinc supplement for her skin problems. It has been wonderful since starting her on boreal, her skin has cleared and her itching has stopped. We have tried not using it and her skin problems returned, it really makes a difference.
