Quiet, easy to install after a related struggle, works well, better than Siamp Monaco so far
This item is very good, quiet, simple mechanism being just a screw to raise float/ water level and install was easy (after mild struggle to related problem). The struggle was not necessarily this item but we needed to change the washers for the fibre type I think. Not rubber ones due to the water needing to swell the washer in place. Also Ptfe aka Teflon tape was needed for a seal with the fibre washers too. Other than that screw in after undoing the nut to the cistern and I believe it is a case of just screwing it in place. My brother did it so I can't say the exact steps but TURN WATER OFF at isolation valve (if you have one) or preferably at main stopcock in house, drain the tank by flushing the chain, unscrew old unit, undo cistern nut with appropriate large spanner. Unsure if tape comes in here or not and possibly wrap some tape around new unit and screw in place after replacing the washer (if needed and highly likely a professional would recommend it). There are videos available on YT. Sorry if anything is wrong but as I said it was my brother who replaced it.If anyone is wondering that did not need to be like for like as we changed a siamp Monaco for this Fluidmaster after I extensively searched for the best recommended fill valves, as I do with every single product I buy.Honestly I am OCD about best products! This wasn't top IIRC but amongst the best brand/ reasonable price. Anything was bettwr than that terrible valve that never worked properly.Make sure the seal is tight with the washer and tape if needed and be sure not to over tighten the nut going to the cistern when complete. I think they recommended a half turn past tight but just watch a quick video if unsure even of its any bottom fill valve you should get an idea. Honestly it isn't worth getting a plumber who usually charge a minimum 60 quid just for turning up/ half hour minimum. It is worth a crack and as always turn the water off! Do not forget to turn back on and if unsure wait for others to be home just in case and one to turn water off, one to fix in our case as we have no isolation valve. If all goes well hopefully you hear the fill, quick, quiet, simple (for DIY relatively speaking). Would be a 10-20 minute job if prepared or less. All in all a good unit that hopefully lasts a while. One caveat was aparently brass bottomed product may be better as it is less likely to snap or get stuck in future.I hope this helps and yes I know some things are obvious like turning water off but you'd be surprised people do forget the simple bits.

Buena calidad de 1/2 pulgada pero no compatible en España (3/8 pulgada)
Bien pero deberia estar mas claro que no es compatible con instalaciones en España. Nuevo latiguillo y agujero cisterna necesarios.

Effective and quiet
Have now replaced three toilet valves with this product over a period of two years. All working fine - and quietly.Easy to fit, easy to adjust - not much else to say.

Good unit
Its a well made unit and is easy to install. Its construction is sturdy and you get the impression it will last a long time. Its easy to alter the hight to suit most needs. The one thing that didn't suit my needs is the float. The float is not enclosed so if the unit is positioned close to the side of the cistern it can catch on the side.
