A great easy read
A great read through the punk, post punk and acid house era and up to date. A really easy read too lighthearted as if he's telling you the stories over a pint. Nice to see the odd place names from his time in Uni in Liverpool that I know of along with a little mention of a friend who was at the heart of the music scene in Liverpool in the early- mid 80s

It turns out that Richard Norris is a kind of Zelig figure. He seems to crop up remarkably often at crucial moments in modern musical history.Strange Things Are Happening (2024) is full of fascinating stories and a lot of wonderful music.Highly recommended for anybody who enjoys music books and music history.

An Amazing Life in Music
I knew bits about Richard’s work but never knew just how much he has been at the heart of the music scene in the UK and elsewhere for the last 4 decades. This book literally takes you on a “trip” from Punk, to Acid House and Beyond, with fantastic insights of the clubs, the culture and how the music was created.Anyone that has an interest in UK dance culture will love this.
