May need to get two sockets
Evidently, for VAG there are two sizes 19 and 21 mm for the strut tower nuts and they're used interchangeably. Disassembled the old struts no problem, however due to lead time I had to engineer a 21mm socket to re-assemble. Alternatively, get preassembled.

Best way to torque strut nuts.
Bought to build new struts with Rallitek springs. Worked perfect. Pass through socket I was using didnt quite fit, this one fit perfect. No rounded edges on the nut.

Does the job
It works. Good amount of room to fit a wrench inside of it. Was able to finally torque down strut nuts properly.
