We started selling waterproof paper in 2003. In 2016 we discovered Puffin Paper - a brand of synthetic waterproof paper that immediately became our favorite - and the favorite of our customers. Why? The print quality produced by laser printers and plain-paper copiers is amazing. More importantly, its performance in the field matched or exceeded that of all the other waterproof papers that we have used. You can use PuffinPaper for printing waterproof maps, signs, forms, charts, instruction sheets, taking notes in the field, and more. It resistants tears, punctures, abrasion and chemicals. You can write on PuffinPaper in any weather with a standard ballpoint pen. Puffin Paper works exceptionally well in laser printers and plain-paper copiers. It also works in inkjet printers that apply a pigment-based ink. (It is not recommended for use in inkjet printers that apply dye-based ink because the ink will smear when wet. Check the cartridge package or the manufacturer's website to learn the type of ink. Refilled and remanufactured cartridges usually have dye-based inks). Medium width pens work best. Broad applies more ink than the paper can absorb and very fine point pens might scratch into the paper. PuffinPaper is not recommended for use with gel pens and does not accept pencil. We always recommend creating a document and testing it in the environment of anticipated use before any important project.
