Beautiful and perfect for beginners
Got this as a gift for a friend who is a complete newbie and they loved it!! As an experienced reader with 8ish years of experience and 20+ decks, I can confidently say this is a great option for beginners both in terms of physical and symbolic quality.Starting in terms of objective qualities: these are a standard size for a tarot deck, meaning larger than playing cards but not unwieldy, at least in my opinion. The cardstock is good quality, thick enough to be durable but just bendable enough to be able to shuffle. They stick together a bit, as is common with a semi-matte finish, but they will separate more with time and use. The gold edges catch the light well, and are such a beautiful detail that really make a difference. The colors are well saturated and the lines are all crisp, the text is a good size and easy to read, similar to paperback novel size print. The art is identical to the classic rider-waite, which is ideal for beginners as this is what most decks are based on. The box is sturdy enough to carry around, and it is exactly the size of the deck + the booklet so it is nice and compact. In terms of the text addition to the cards, from what I observed they are a great start. Simple, clear, sometimes a bit too simple in my opinion but again this is for beginners. Nuance comes with time! This covers so many bases though that it provides an adequate amount of context for each card, and it is in line with my observations and experiences across many decks. I appreciate that they include the astrologcial/planetary correlations, seasons, elements, as well as a key quote/question to accompany the simple list of keywords. I think this goes a long way in creating a robust symbol system that will build a great base of understanding. The booklet is alright, but it is lacking in some details such as spreads and introductions that I think would make a difference for someone going in blind. I personally gave my friend a crash course in different techniques and some recommendations on how to get started with three card spreads and pulling a card of the day, but if you do not have a friend to consult I'd highly recommend doing a bit of research and maybe just watching videos on how other readers approach tarot.Overall I highly recommend these to anyone just starting out. It is a great starter deck, solid enough quality to last you a few years at the very least even with some careless handling, and it should provide a good basis of understanding to set you off.

Beatuiful Cards, Not enough instruction for a true beginner
The cards themselves are gorgeous with vibrant art. The gold edges are an excellent touch, and while they could be a bit thicker, they were not at all flimsy and they do not feel cheap. The booklet is good for giving a basic explanation of the meaning behind each card, but it doesn't contain enough information for a true beginner. There's no explanation as to what the side text (ex: Virgo | Earth | Maybe) is for, or even how to deal out the cards to begin a reading. Granted, all of this can be found online, but for a set claiming to be for beginners, it would be nice if it were included. This review was for "CRAFTERIAN Learning Tarot, Tarot Cards for Beginners with Meanings on Them, Keywords"

Approachable and Non-Pretentious
There are two components to this review. First, the approach of the deck in general. Second, the quality of the product itself. Both of these things matter.First, so many Tarot decks try so hard to be prettier, more esoteric, more enigmatic, or more unique than all the other decks. While there is a lot to be said for symbolism, synergy, and resonance, it is not everything. I like this deck because it does away with all of that in an effort to be usable for anyone without constant book reference or study. After reading detailed card descriptions elsewhere, the reminders are enough. I like all of this. The deck itself has some really nice things and one minor OK thing. To get it out of the way, the cardstock is too thin. These cards are for studying and doing all the readings you could want to do while you study before you find your next set. These are not your forever cards. Now that that's said there is a lot I love. They are pretty. The gold edges are really a nice touch. The back of the cards have a pleasant design illustrating moon phases. The only problem is that it's possible to see whether a card is right side up or inverted by looking at the back of the card. No one is playing poker with these so it doesn't really matter. The card backs don't affect shuffle order, knowing whether a reversed card is next lets a little of the surprise out but that doesn't actually affect much. The instructions are a good start but inadequate for much actual education. The deck is based on the The Rider Waite deck first published in 1910. This name is not mentioned in their introduction. Second, the instructions do not include how to do a basic spread for reading. It's not that there is one right way though several traditional spreads have become fairly standard. YouTube some how to's on spreads until you find one that resonates with you. Don't get sucked into the idea that there is one right way.Overall, these are great for a first deck or for anyone looking to get better at reading without having to consult the book all the time.

Great for those interested in starting a tarot journey
This deck is a great tool for those that are interested in tarot but may be overwhelmed by the 78 cards and each one’s meaning. This deck uses the traditional Rider-Waite deck as its base and then adds a thick black border to those cards. In the black border are wonderful tips for the upright meaning, reversed meaning, associated planet, element, yes/no, as well as a pertinent question. The included book is almost unnecessary but is simple and direct. The card stock is thick enough to make shuffling easier (depends on your shuffling choice) and the gilded edges are nice. I would only suggest to anyone using this deck to not become dependent on the meanings printed on these cards. Part of the joy of reading tarot is learning to find deeper meanings in each card and your own personal interpretations. Still, this is a great tool to start a tarot journey with. Once you become comfortable with this deck you should be able to transition to any deck that uses the Rider-Waite symbolism.

Came damaged
These cards are okay, they came water damaged and the cards I could actually look at were okay. The graphics were decent, none of the cards repeated, etc. the book was damaged so I couldn’t really look through it.
