Great in snow and ice
Used these for a 10 mile hike in the snowand ice and they stayed well on boots, no issues with fit using an XL for size 10.5 foot.

Worked well on the ice and snow
I’ve walked on ice and snow covered rail trails with these and they grip well and were quite good. I bought medium size and it was a bit tough to put these on my boots. The site should provide help by suggesting what size crampons to buy based upon one’s shoe size.

Freezing Rain and Ice pellets!
We just got 4" of freezing rain and ice pellets today and I just tried them out and they work very well! I used them on my Muck boots and the strap is a good addition to keep them from slipping!

Great inexpensive functional option
Love these for winter hikes - fits perfectly on my hiking shoe. Just as good as the $$$ ones. Get them you won’t regret it.

Train commuter's best friend when people don't shovel their sidewalks
Come winter and it snows, it seems that the mile I walk to the commuter train is about 75% not shoveled and when the footprints melt and refreeze during the day, the walk can be pretty slick. Also, when I arrive downtown, I need to walk across a bridge and that is never shoveled and always super slippery.I was looking for a compact crampon option with a little carrying bag so I can navigate my way into work.As you can see, these are my fall/spring boots and because the metal touches the leather, I think I won't use these crampons because they may wear down the shoe material. But if it snows or there is freezing rain, I will switch to my winter boots and these crampons will work much better since they have all rubber lowers up to the ankle.I'm not sure if road salt will rust the metal parts but I will find out this winter.UPDATE: I wore these in freezing rain conditions walking to the train during my daily commute. They work great. For one, they are super easy to put on and two they dry out really fast. The carry bag is very good at keeping the slush off your backpack or coat pocket when you aren't wearing them. And the salt doesn't seem to affect them at all (no rust yet).
