Gerard (Bayou Brotherhood Protectors Book 2)

Gerard is the second book in the Bayou Brotherhood Protectors series by Elle James.I loved this book, it's original with amazing characters. The spark between Gerard and Bernie is heartwarming. This is a great read and is a wonderful story.

I loved this second book in the Bayou Brotherhood. There were some exciting twists and turns I didn’t see coming. But what I did expect, and Elle James delivered upon, was an intriguing story full of adventure, good home spun love, and romantic steam.

This sure had a different twist to the story. So far I am enjoying this series. The hint of a spell on the men brings out sense of humor.

Gerard: WOW! Exciting, intense, surprises, romance! It was another great addition to the series! I am really enjoying this series! Elle James keeps coming up with great series b for the brotherhood bunch!

What a great book.Alot of action,alot of animals.Bernie loved her farm and all of her animals,when someone started hurting her animals Bernie turned to the Bayou Brotherhood Protectors.Read the book!

This was a different type of story for the Brotherhood Protectors but it kept me engaged with a type of storyline then the normal. I absolutely loved it. 💞

What a great story! Gerard and Bernie are to great characters. Bernie is a widow who has kept her late husband's family farm running all on her own. She seeks out the Brotherhood Protectors when her goose appears dead. Remy, has assigned Gerard to figure this out for her, but things get complicated. Gerard takes on the assignment, but he starts falling for his charge. That is a big no in his book. We learn of the reasons for his thinking this way. It broke my heart for this Marine.I look forward to book 3.

Elle James does it again! Gerard and the Bayou Brotherhood Protecters have another mystery on their hands. Bernie is a widow running the farm that has been in her husband’s family for a century. She finds her pet goose dead, a Foot in the pig pen, her farm produce is being destroyed and she is being threatened. Oh and someone wants her to sell her farm! It’s up to Gerard to protect her and discover who the bad guys are.

Whoa!i'm totally in love with the Bayou Brotherhood Protectors Guys!i thought Remy was great - but Elle James managed to make GERARD even better!The Characters, the Storyline, the Suspense...and, on top of all this - one of the best Happy Ends ever!

Bernie may have suffered heartbreak and loss but she is strong and totally focused on the farm until one innocent touch from Gerard has her body craving more than just a touch. She has been in a frozen state since her husband died, Gerard thaws not only her libido but her heart too and we see a new Bernie emerge as she embraces life once again.Gerard has had no trouble avoiding commitment until Bernie, she has him craving everything he knows he cannot have, everything he must avoid to keep others safe, what he fails to see is that by having those thoughts he has proven he is not like his dad. Gerard may be a little emotionally cold and slightly damaged but he is a good man with a huge heart and it is beautiful to see him begin to open that heart to Bernie and the possibility of a future together.A complex puzzle for the Brotherhood Protectors with numerous unrelated pieces, but hard physical work and cryptic clues are their specialty....and once again they don't disappoint.

Second book in the series, but 30 pages of the next book, a technique known as book stuffing to cheat on the pages. This ruined the book for me, and I won’t be reading the rest.

Good read

This is a sweet story , with a background you wouldn't expect. But you can't put it down !A hidden forgotten secret can solve a problem but it is the relationship between the owner of the small farm and the protector that keeps you turning the pages.
