The product is very straightforward, plug n play set-up. I have only used the android connection and there's no lag or any issues so far. Would definitely recommend.

Update: after 5 months, it doesn't work any more. The screen just blank trying to connect. Not able to connect with seller.Old review:Take a chance and turned dout great so far. Works with both IOS and Amdroid. There is a swich on the side, slide down or up to active IOS or Android. For both devices, turned on both wifi and Bluetooth, pair in Bluetooth. For Android, I also checked "Android Auto" setting wireless connection.After pairing, just use the switch to select ios or Android on the box. After car is turned on. Take a few seconds, Car play or Android auto will be enabled in the car. Everything works as connected with wire.

Wring this honest review, I bought a Hyundai Sonata Hybrid 2023, and before using this product, the wired USB cable start disconnecting frequently, I did upgrade the software of the infotainment but same. I bought this little adapter and it connected effortlessly since then. You make sure to position a little switch to Android or Apple CarPlay based on your phone make and model. (Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, for connecting specific device, there is a little toggle switch to put it in correct position).

So the device weeks as advertised... To a point. Unfortunately it doesn't allow for full screen Carplay. I wish that had been advertised but at least i don't have to deal with a wired connection anymore. KIA 2022 Sportage Prestige.

It is very convenient to use. It connects itself everytime. Since it is very small, it does not take space in the car. I also do not need to deal with ekstra cable to connect my phone to carplay.

I have been using this device for almost two months now and so far I have no issues using it in my 2018 Honda CRV. After the initial pairing, the connection happens automatically every time I start the car. I have used both Android Auto and CarPlay and haven’t had any connectivity or lagging issues. The best part is your phone can be connected to car charger and you can have wireless android auto / car play on through out your drive and you won’t have to worry about phone battery draining. Also, the switching between Android Auto and Apple Carplay is seamless.

Poor quality, stopped working after 2 months

Seller was great, but I just could not get this to connnect.

El dispositivo me funcionó en una Ertiga xl7 2022 sin problema, para esto había tenido muchos problemas conectando teléfonos Motorola y Huawei, por lo que opté por este sistema y lo detectó de forma muy rápida, en mi caso trabaja sin delay y la musica, maps o las demás funcionalidades de Android auto funcionan adecuadamente.Algunas veces he tenido problemas de que en maps no se actualiza la información, pero no estoy seguro de si es mi celular o dispositivo, porque para solucionarlo tengo que reiniciar mi celular y desconectar el aparato del conector USB.

This is the third such product I purchased for use with my 2022 Ford Maverick, and the only one that has performed as advertised. The previous ones were not from this vendor. The first one worked, but was very glitchy, and would frequently drop the connection. I tried to replace it with another similar unit from another vendor, but it did not work at all. Strangely, that one functioned just fine in my son’s Nissan Rogue, but simply refused to hook up with my Maverick. With this unit, it paired very quickly and has performed flawlessly. Third time was obviously the charm! Works like a champ!

No funciona para Android... IPhone muy bien, pero Android no lo detecta, para mi es dinero tirado a la basura

The car identified the adapter as a Car Play device even when the selection button was set to Android Auto and I was using it with an Android phone (Samsung Galaxy S20+).My phone was able to connect to the device and it appeared in the phone's Android Auto settings as "SmartAdapter-5C16/Wireless Android Auto available". In the car's Connected Devices list it appeared as "Apple Car Play" but neither CarPlay or Android Auto were activated.The blue light on the device flashed continuously when it was plugged into the USB port. The device's startup screen appeared when the device was plugged in but it never switched to Android Auto. I didn't bother testing it with an iPhone as my main use would be for Android Auto with the occasional user switching to CarPlay.I followed the installation instructions in the user manual and in the video. I also tried all the steps in the FAQ. The car (2024 Hyundai Tucson) is equipped with Android Auto and I have used AA successfully with a wired connection. I tried updating the firmware but the admin page described in the FAQ wouldn't load.I contacted the seller who responded after a couple of days, but all they provided was a rehash of the manual and the FAQ. I requested additional assistance but never heard back.I returned the device and ordered a Carlinkit 5.0 2Air instead. The Carlinkit connected seamlessly and works great after a few days of testing. I’m looking for wireless adapter for my car. Our family using Android and iOS devices so, this product is perfectly fulfilled our needs.Like:1. Lightweight product and come up with USB-A to USB-C adapter.2. Product material is good.3. Manufacturer provided guidelines in prior time to delivered the product.4. They are regularly working on fixing the bugs and provide OTA updates to resolve an issues.5. Connectivity is good.6. Stable connection with both Android and iOS devices.7. Easy to switch between Android & iOS devices.Dislike:1. No official website for product. Provided user guide in email content.2. After OTA update need to reconnect with new Bluetooth name.3. Battery drain very fast.4. We can’t use Hotspot, because WiFi and Bluetooth both are occupied. Specifically when you have to run other device. E.g. Tablet, Laptop, etc.4. Lagging time is more than 1.5 sec.5. On call sometime voice cracking.6. No big fixed list after OTA update.7. Phone automatically connect when does remote start for heating. So, in that case need to switch to Phone mode to CarPlay mode.
