I have had this clever gadget for ONE DAY and I LOVE IT! With salads a major part of our cuisine, I'm forever looking for something to make chopping vegetables easier -- have tried every imaginable device, but this one is IT. My search is over. It goes together in a minute, is arranged so you can make your slices as thin or as thick as you like, and PRESTO -- with a good, long chef knife or something of equal length (important), you'll have a salad in a minute. One caveat, for me, anyway: tomatoes will make your salad pretty wet, so you might want to slice them separately and then toss in; also, be sure to dry your lettuce between paper towels before adding to the container (which you probably do anyway). I stored my new best gadget in the box it came in, so easy!P.S. I also received a nice email from the seller who was concerned about possible damage in shipment, asking me to let them know if mine had been so affected (it had not). The email also included a "do-in-yourself" e-book on making household items (laundry detergents, cleaning supplies, etc.) , which I thought was pretty classy. Good customer service in addition to a fine product. You won't be sorry if you purchase this excellent salad chopper!

I use this product every day to make fresh, healthy salads for lunch. I buy the produce in bulk at Costco and this makes the cost per salad very reasonable. You can eat healthy without spending too much time or going broke and this product is a BIG help. So glad I purchased it. Highly recommend this model because it is extra big compared to many of the smaller versions.

I am glad that I purchased it. It was easy was assemble. I tried cutting some Romaine lettuce with a cucumber. following the sequential numbers that are on the cutter. When I was done, the lettuce and cucumber were cut in small even parts. This was wonderful. I then tried a cabbage. I was able to put a full 1/2 cabbage in it. .I cut in once and then mixed the cabbage a little and cut it again. This made the cabbage even smaller. The cutter was easy to clean. The construction of it is heavy duty enough to intuitively tell me it will last for a long time. This is a simple well engineered product. It is NOT one that you will use once and forget it.

I do not know why...but ever since we started to use this, our salads taste better. I think it is because you can control how big or small your pieces are in your salad. I love how I toss everything together and it takes a minute to make. I love how the bottom piece has grooves in it so you can slice all the way through the bottom layer. I love how I can store it flat and not have to make room for yet another kitchen gadget. My only wish is that the slats were totally open from the top so I could slice easier and fit more things in my container.

I questioned buying this product if it actually worked. To my surprise it did! It is such a time saver, just stick your ingredients in and start slicing. How easy it is and what a time saver for me. I really don't have time to individually slice things, due to having 3 little kids running around. So this Salad Cutter Bowl is perfect for my needs. And it is super fast! I put lettuce, cucumber and tomatoes in the cutter bowl, and my salad came out perfect in half the time! It is also dishwasher safe! The plastic isn't flimsy at all and it seems to be sturdy. I tried to shoot photos for you to see (was eating fruits). There is also instructions come with the package on how to use it. I would recommend this product to anyone.

I had one of these before, this one is MUCH better. I threw my old one out. it was the round and small ones you see all over amazon. But it kind of sucked, the plastic was really weak and bendable, and you couldn't see the food to make sure it was sliced right. Also you couldn't cut all the way to the bottom so it was pretty much pointless since there would be this layer of un sliced stuff at the bottom, and you couldn't turn it easily to cut cubes without everything falling out.This new box one pretty much solved all those problems. Don't even consider buying the old one, this is the only one that actually makes sense to use

It's not as convenient or easy to use as I expected.. by the time you keep moving things into place and work the knife through the slots, it is easier to just cut them the normal way.
