TFA External Weather Station Stainless Steel

I have always been a fan of analogue barometers et cetera and have a traditional ClimeMet barometer in my hallway but fancied having a decent one under the canopy of my pergola. The quality of this item did not disappoint in the least, the main body of the case is what appears to be stainless steel that is well engineered and the clear cover is either glass or very high quality acrylic. Each of the dials (barometer, thermometer and Hygrometer) are excellently printed and easy to read, not that it bothers me but the barometer dial is uncluttered by text - rain - change - sunny - dry et cetera, maybe this is because it's a German made item and just has a few pictograms in lieu of text of different markets for different languages for those who are not familiar with German. At first I noticed that there is no external moveable needle for the barometer to check for the falling or rising of pressure and for a moment I was disappointed but then I realised that this would compromise the weather resistance of the instrument.Straight out of the box I checked the calibration of the dials and all three were spot on with my pre calibrated Casio G shock multi sensor watch and I mean down to the Millibar, Celsius and % humidity.In fact I almost hesitated to put it outside as it is so nice.I'm pretty confident that anyone who buys one of these instruments will be very happy with their purchase.

The weather station looks good. That all the good points. It supposed to be calibrated to display accurate readings, but the item i received was a long way out! The temp in particular was miles off reading 50 Degs C in the shade on a warm day when the real temp was around 23-24 Degs C. Really not good.

Works ok, you will need to set it up properly, if you want accuracy. Make sure it doesn't get wet, if outside!

Seems to tell the truth most days! It is quite well finished in SS, easy to read but more difficult to set - I believe that the temperature has been under-reading all summer but am probably deluded.

It works great and was easy to calibrate the barometer. It is nice addition to the terrace. It also arrived very quickly!

If you want to go old school and battery free, this is a great piece of engineering. Nice solid metal frame and the ability to calibrate on the back. Recommended.

Really happy with this weather station. Good quality finish stainless steel, stylish simplicity and accuracy. Easy fixing to wall. It is easy to read on outside wall even through the window from inside when the weather is foul. You have to adjust barometer when it arrives, but neat tool is provided to do that and you can get the latest pressure from the web for your location to set it. After that no adjustment needed. Good value for money and arrived promptly and well packaged. A satisfactory transaction and would use the trader again or recommend to others.
