Razor sharp
At first, I was skeptical didn’t wanna buy it but at that price I said what the hell I was blown away when I received it and used it the knife is so sharp. It’ll cut right through pork butt like like a hot knife through butter, I recommend this knife to anyone who needs a real knife. This knife is not a gimmick. It is the real thing believe me out of all the money I’ve spent on Amazon. this was the best purchase I ever made.

Amazing Japanese kitchen knife at an amazing price.
I rarely report but this knife is amazing and for what I would likely pay far more for. I have bought three more for my friends who are excellent cooks and so is my girlfriend. My cousin and other friend were shocked by the quality and everlasting quenching degree, as am I. They are made by the knife masters...of course the Japanese. This knife handles better and more accurately than knives I have paid far more for. That meaning Henkels. Wostofs ana all yhe rest. Not is it an amazing cooking knife...But if you ever need self defense this would be the best knife to have. I have knives that cost in the hundreds that I would say are on the same line in many ways. I can't find any coming flaw in this fine peice of craftsmanship. I will be buying all the other model styles I need from them. By the way I'm VERY picky about my cutlery. This company is inexpensive ana I don't know why. I hope they don't change their prices due to my review. I could go on and on but I'd say If you wand an awesome knife for the kitchen and all else then grab on quickly as I think they may up their prices, as they are crazy low. My knife will still be going when I am dead. I am also a knife maker, so that gives my review credit for my review. Hope you get one since you'll never need another. Enjoy this fine bullet proof piece of craftsmanship!

I am not a chef, however, I do like to smoke ribs! This knife cut my meat perp time in half! The knife is very sharp. I have read some reviews stating the knife will rust so I rub a litte olive oil on the blade.

Not made in Japan and not made by Japanese masters but it is SHARP out of the box
The knife is sharp, very sharp. In fact it registers a respectable score of 178 which was repeatable on my BESS certified scale. For perspective, that is in the range of a utility razor blade which is sharper than the range of high-end cutlery. So you're asking, why only four stars then....and the answer is because the Matsato site describes the knife as "crafted using traditional Japanese methods" and "One of the reasons the Matsato knife performs so well is becauseit’s made from premium Japanese stainless steel." but it is made in china which casts doubt on the origins of the steel used and the longevity of the blade.

A Marvelous Blade
I purchased this knife out of curiosity. I got to use it on Easter Sunday. I cut cucumbers, tomatoes, garlic and roasted lamb. The blade cut through everything like a hot knife through butter. Even the lamb! Marvelous blade.

A real cutting edge
When I saw the advertisement of this Japanese knife how it cuts without hesitation, I was kind of leery, but after getting it, I am glad I got it

Its very sharp and cuts very fast.
Best knife I have ever used once I learned how to keep my thumb out of the way. They are not kidding when they say it is sharp and it has stayed sharp.

Small knife & lightweight feel
I can't give this knife a 5 star rating only because it just falls short in a couple areas, one is it needs to be a little longer blade length and a little bit heavier, it's too large for a pairing knife and too short for a legitimate chefs knife, I use it but not as much as I was hoping to because I really like the design and feel. I'm not sure if I would recommend this to a friend or relative but I would let them use it and let them make up their own mind about it.
