First off I like the salt. If your looking for salt for a grinder this may or may not work. The chunks of salt are small so if your grinder does not leak it should work fine. I think it will depend on your grinder and it is why there are some reviews that say it works and some that say it doesn't. Maybe test your grinder first with regular salt and see if it leaks out. I like the salt chunks the size they are so I'm just looking for a shaker with larger holes.

Downton Abbey spoiler alert!OK. So I was watching an old episode of Downton Abbey in which Lord Merton was talking about the benefits of iodine. All of a sudden I had an epiphany that I only cooked with sea salt and kosher salt! Could it be the reason for my brittle nails and hair?I bought this brand and was delighted that I could use it in my salt grinder. Great stuff. I felt much perkier right away, and feel very grateful for Lord Merton, Sal Bahia, and whoever discovered the link between iodine and good health. Will definitely buy again.

the lid is VERY flimsy and it came off in shipping. I looked at the container more closely and it is also a pliable plastic. The lid could pop off while pouring. Just a heads up, I'd recommend putting into a different container before pouring.

You can use this in a salt grinder, however, I wish it was coarser for grinding.

I ordered two containers of coarse salt. One of them was fine; the other had been damaged during shipping, and it's contents poured out into the shipping container.This item is not eligible for return / refund, so I paid for two, and only get to use one.

The salt itself is great. But the shaker part of the dispenser has narrow holes that the salt won’t actually go through.
