Jandy 4716 2 to 2-1/2 inch 2-port valve: well built valve but I returned it for two issues. Thought the slip connections are 2" (2 3/8 id) the opening inside the valve body in only 1-1/2 inches which is too restrictive for my application. Curiously, the Jandy website lists two versions of the model 4716, one of them has a much larger valve body with a 2" inside opening. Could not find any model number difference to designate the larger valve. Also, it's seems odd that the valve is closed when the handle is parallel to the valve and open when the handle is at a right angle to the valve. You can open the valve and change the flow direction but the handle is notched so it always is closed when in-line (parallel) to the valve. That's different from most valves that I've seen, visually confusing, though it would not affect function.

Jandy is good stuff... well built... well designed... rebuildable is the only way to go on pool situations

works really well to replace some older ball valves on my pool. I used all purpose cement, took my time, measured carefully, cut the pipe very precisely with a multi tool. Great results.
