Agar agar
Arrived fast and works great! Try 1 tsp of agar agar with 2 tbsp of warm water mix and let sit for a couple minutes before adding to recipe.

Dissolves very well and very fast!
This is my second time trying to make jell-o. The first time was with gelatin, and it had a very ugly looking texture and disgusting smell. However, my first time using agar-agar was completely different. There wasn't a really yucky smell and there wasn't any aftertastes. The texture was great.

Agar Agar
I like to use this as a substitute for cornstarch when it is needed in soup and sauces. I have also used this as a substitute for egg whites. It is rather flavorless which leaves room for experimenting with different flavor combinations. I know this can be used as a substitute for gelatin but I don't really like the texture.

Flavorless powder to make delicious kohautou!
I recently developed an affinity for those extra-pricey kohatuou crystal candies. The cost is so extreme that I thought, "Surely I can make these on my own for a fraction of the price." My hypothesis was correct! I used this powder in the first recipe I saw online and it worked quite well. I will say the candy took an extra two days to set up versus what the recipe said, which makes me suspect that using an extra teaspoon of agar agar would've made it set up more quickly. It's possible this powder is weaker than other brands, though I can't really compare it to say for sure. Test your first recipe for personal use before expecting to serve others, just in case you have the same results as I did. That being said, after the extra drying time, the candy was A+ and tasted just as good as the candy I was buying for $4-$5 a piece.

easy to use gelatin substitute
As a vegan, I'm most familiar with this as a substitute for gelatin, but I'm looking forward to trying other recipes with this. The quality is good, and it looks like there's a lot you can use it for once you do a bit of learning.

Best for making jello!
I wanted to try these from a long time as I hate using gelatin from animal bones. These are vegan and do not have any smell. I used it as a thickener and to make jello and it came out perfectly. It is very easy to use and the powder is nicely soluble. The jar is enough to last a long time. It is unflavored and so it takes up the flavor of what we add in.

Simple To Use, No Aftertaste, Omnivore-Friendly
I'm not vegan or vegetarian; while I've been cutting way down on meats, flour, & sugar in my older age and focusing on healthier plant-based foods, 100% plants is not my ultimate goal in life. When I find a good alternative, I'm happy to switch, as long as it tastes fine and is not too complex. This powder -- that my vegan son recommended to me -- fits my lifestyle perfectly. Easy-peasy, convenient jar, perfect amount for how often I use it (which isn't very often), simple to use. Great! One concern I had was that it's made from seaweed, which I really don't like the taste of. I was happy to find that there is no taste (or aftertaste) to this stuff. That's all that was left to sell me on this product. The reason I'm only giving it 4 stars at this point is because it's still very new to me, I've only tried it once so far, and I haven't yet put it to use in a variety of different recipes to be able to five-star it. On the whole, it seems very promising, and I will recommend that my fellow omnivores give it a try as well.

Flavorless plant base gelatin - perfect vegan base
The biggest pro: no flavor. This allows for a base upon which to build the flavors you want. We used it to thicken jello (key lime) and had good results. The second pro: lots of it in a small container.Buying bulk means you need space. This is a small jar, takes up little space, but packs many servings. Awesome.Any negatives? Nothing so far.
