Wonderful take on mother nature. I really enjoy his perspective and respect for the plants and wildlife as you'd expect from Native American culture. He seems very connected with it all. However, I wouldn't necessarily use this as a field guide as its a semi full size book, not convenient but I will keep it in my go-bag anyway as if I run across any of the few plants mentioned, it has quite a bit of detailed specific information on it.

no se quien fue el "genio" que se le ocurrio escribir un libro de plantas sin casi ningun dibujo y foto de las plantas encuestion.por muy bien que este escrito su uso (gracias a dios viene tambien su nombre en latin) tendras que buscar en google lasimagenes de cada planta para estar seguro de su uso.por lo que he visto del libro esta bien escrito pero al no tener las fotos y dibujos en color necesarios en una guia deplantas comestibles lo he bajado a dos estrellas, pues vas a tener que hacer el trabajo que el editor no le dio la ganade hacer.un claro ejemplo de un buen libro con un mal editor.p.d. no me hubiese importado pagar 2 o 3 € mas por las fotos y los dibujos a color.a good book but a bad edition. no photos or draws of the plants.you have to google it to find the pictures of the plants. thanks they have also their name in latin.

This book is a treasure of author's field experience and naturalist training under Indian and folkways guides. Any serious herbalist should obtain this book as part of their collection, as it conveys pearls of wisdom in every chapter, along with a deeply important reverence for the interconnection of the natural world. A great companion to any "field IDENTIFICATION" guide by Peterson or Newcombs, which will show detailed drawings, but be missing these wonderful stories, tips, and guides for plant use.
