STM Saga Backpack for Laptop, 15" - Black (stm-111-170P-01)

I chose the Saga laptop backpack out of a range of backpacks. The quality is wonderful, as expected (I am quite happy with my STM iPhone case so I do like the brand). The design is quite sleek and minimalist. However, the bottom of the bag does not sit flat. It is sewn for the bottom to curve up, so it looks like a bulge like a belly in the front. The base is too narrow to hold the entire bag upright. It falls forward and ultimately lies horizontally "on its belly" when the bag is set down. That means the entire front of the bag comes into contact with the ground and dirt. It is also problematic as I carry water bottles and travel mugs (which used to be spill proof but will now drip when the bottle is on its side). That is a deal breaker.I looked over the photos of the bag on Amazon quite carefully, and in one, the bag looks like it sits flat. In another, you can see that the line of the bag curves up. There is no way to push the bag down from the top to create a flat bottom. The back piece that is against my back is too long so that when I push the top down to try to create a stable, flat bottom, the back piece curves in (away from the straps), and the bag still falls over. I am beyond the return period and Amazon asked me to contact the manufacturer. I did but have yet to receive a response. It's a shame as I do like the brand.

I really like this backpack. It has enough room to carry my MacBook Pro that has the DVD player in it, my 10 inch tablet, two notebooks and all the things that I need. There is an inside pocket on the front flap that is big enough to hold all of my chargers and put them into easy reach. There is also an outside zippered pocket for your keys and phone as we as a pocket where you can put something that you may need to get to without a lot of hassle for instance a book that you are reading while riding the bus or train. It sits comfortably on your shoulders and back, I only wish that it came with a chest strap. The handle seems well secured and tightly woven so I am not expecting ay issues from that.

Oh my god this backpack is so awesome I love it so much and it works so well the color is nicer than in the photo it’s a bit lighter The laptop pocket works perfect for folders for school work I don’t know what I would do without this backpack it is the most perfect backpack I have ever used. Ps. I like STM iPad cases they’re very nice I do recommend them I have 3.

Amazing laptop protection, space for lots of other stuff. Totally waterproof when zippered. Two drink cubbies on the side. Just wish it had a chest strap

I'm really impressed with this backpack. It is thoughtfully designed and well made. It actually looks a lot nicer than what the product pictures show. The granite gray color has an attractive, metallic sheen to it, unlike the dull, boring gray in the pictures. The shell material is water repellent, which is handy when you are exposed to the elements. The backpack is lightweight and less bulky than most backpacks in its class as well (just over 1 lb). It can accommodate a 15" laptop and accessories, and still has room for plenty of belongings and two water bottles. You can practically stuff it full without weighing you down too much when you carry it.The backpack looks tall and narrow, measuring approximately 18" x 11" x 6". The main compartment opens up big and wide with the front cover flipping down. Here you can access your laptop and tablet easily. The laptop pocket is suspended on the back and kept a safe distance away from the sides and bottom of the backpack against possible impacts. This compartment is well padded. Even the bottom of the backpack is padded. It has plenty of space for other things such as lunch, a thin jacket, etc as well. The interior of the front cover is a large, zippered mesh pocket. It is designed to keep the power adapter for the laptop, cables and accessories. It is a nice organizer to keep your small stuff neatly and for easy access.On the front of the backpack are two full-width pockets - a zippered stash pocket near the top for quick-access items such as phone and keys, and a drop pocket for storing a book and maps, etc. There are also two mesh pockets on the sides for water bottles. All the zippers seem heavy-duty and have a fabric covering over the teeth which helps to keep out dirt and moisture.The backpack is very comfortable to carry. It seems well balanced when you're carrying a full load. The shoulder straps are wide, curved and well padded. They are nice and easy on the shoulders. The entire back is lined with a black, highly meshed material. It seems to allow better airflow and make your back less warm and sweaty. There is a carry handle on the top as expected, but it is well padded and easy on your hand.All in all, this is an excellent laptop backpack for everyday carry. It is lightweight and yet protective for your laptop. It is thoughtfully designed for organization and comfort, and well made for durability. I have tried to find faults with this backpack but I couldn't. It more than meets my needs and expectations. If you are looking for a laptop backpack, get this. You won't be disappointed.

Very nice 15 inch backpack. It has a volume of 20 liters. I lie the red accent color on the handle and back. It's not huge, but it is perfect for school or work. It is simple and well made. Not a lot of pockets, but enough to get the job done. The seams all are sewn well and the material is heavy duty. It has a lifetime warranty against any flaws or defects. This is an excellent well made basic backpack.Outside:- The font has a deep open slip in pocket and a medium sized zipped pocket at the top.- Sides have open mesh pockets for umbrella / water bottle- Straps have a little bit of padding- Back has stiff backing in it- One main zippered compartmentInside:- One zippered compartment you get to by folding the front flap over- One large slot on the back for laptop- One medium slot on the back- Three small slots for phone and pens

My 15" Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga15 fits perfectly in the laptop compartment. Once the laptop is inside, the backpack doesn't change shape as if nothing is in there. I am happy with the design for this very part. The rest of the bag provides plenty of rooms for books and accessories.The material is waterproof, so you can carry it in the rain, but I won't risk it in heavy rain with my computer in there. I'm just happy that my things are protected in case of sudden rain.The pockets are well thought out for easy reach and search.I recommend it!
