well finished, sharp, clean cuts out of the box
Picked up for review as I've not tried an upcutting spiral cutter before and wanted to see what the fuss was about. This well finished HSS spiral cutter is sharp out of the box and care is needed when removing from the packaging and also fitting into and out of the cutter as there isn't a huge area of cutter that doesn't expose a sharp edge.It cuts MDF and laminated chipboard like butter using my Triton 1/2" router and will be used extensively building jigs for my woodturning.Recommended.

Sharp and solid
Disclosure time, I was too lazy to find and fit the big collet needed for my router. That's because this bit isn't a lightweight 1/4 fit it's a nicely chunky 1/2 bit. So instantly I knew this would be great for grooves.Even more so when I removed it from it's very sensible hard plastic packaging. That's often being a sign of a quality bit, as was the weight, it felt nicely heavy and solid. Though the real decider was when handling it and getting an instant finger cut.One that didn't initially hurt. But that's good because it shows the bit is razor sharp and ultimately that's mostly what you need in a router bit. There's also no bearings to worry about, so I can see this one will be a great grab and go bit.

Sinoprotools Up-Cut Spiral Router Bit
Well manufactured bit that has a 1/2" shank for a suitable router or router table. The up-cut bit is best for creating slots, tenons, and blind holes that require a smooth bottom face to the work piece.I have tried the bit on soft wood and it cuts through like butter, just remember to not make too deep a pass at a time and to work up to the required depth. So far, the tool performs well. Time will tell how it dulls over time or keeps its sharpness.

Stays Sharp, good quality router bit
Most of the woodwork I do is with hardwoods which has a habit of blunting any router bits very quickly. This bit has bee used on Oak (see pic) Mahogany and Sapele and it still cuts like new. The coating appears to keep it looking like new, no tarnish from the heat. I am pleased with this router bit. Good quality compares better than more expensive bits. this is a good piece of kit at a very reasonable price.

Nice smooth cut
One thing to note this is a ½ inch shank not 12mm.The diameter is ¾ inch not 20mmIf you are after a metric bit this is imperial.Exactly what i needed, it fits great in my ½ inch machine in the imperial ½ inch collet.Great to find one that fits. And give a nice smooth cut.

Seems nice quality for an HSS bit.
This is a bit of an experiment for me as I generally use the more expensive carbide bits, but so far this bit seems to cut and clear out material well.It has a good amount of length for inserting into the collet, and a decent length cutting face, so could really ask for more.Time will tell how long it keeps an edge compared to a carbide bit, but so far no complaints.

Does the job
My husband has recently started woodworking and is going to be making a few various wooden gifts for family members. He has used this bit already and is happy with how it cuts. He especially likes that when he lifts his router from the groove he has been making it pulls out the mess that the routing has made.I like that it comes in a nice little plastic storage box because it will help to keep the bit safe and clean, not to mention not as easy to lose as bits that don't have a holder.

Very good
This works really well. My brother is a joiner and he is making me something and needed this. He said it’s really good and would recommend it.
