If you are getting this for a child, or an adult who tends to drop things, I definitely recommend a strap. I was able to flip through the quick start guide with my kiddo and get him up and running as soon as the battery was charged.It comes with a lens cap for protection when not in use, and I appreciate the spare battery. My son seems to be into videos lately which take more battery power, so having a spare on hand is critical. Its picture quality is good and the interface is simple to use. The silver top frame, bottom frame, lens frame, and button frames are all made of a metal-looking plastic, contributing to its light weight. It comes with an included 32GB storage card and two batteries! The camera boasts a 16x zoom, but it is important to note this is a digital zoom, not optical. With lots of shooting modes and features, it works well for what it is. The visual throwback to old film cameras is the neatest feature and makes me miss my old film shooting days.
