For the first time in 30 years I bought a vehicle without automatic locks. In 90 days I locked my key inside 2 times. I did a lot of research on key-safes. I wanted something waterproof and sturdy so that I could hide it underneath the vehicle and not have the key ruined or fall off. This is the perfect size for a typical keyfob or even a couple of loose keys. Overall, its very functional and well thought out. Its lined with a foam a interior so nothing is going to slide around and get damged. It's small enough to hide anywhere, and strong enough that I'm not worried at all about it falling off. I actually struggled pulling it off while testing the strength. I would definitely recommend this key safe for the price and functionality.

I used the magnetic key holder to hide my extra key fob on my truck. The box seems waterproof (there is a rubber gasket), but I also sealed the fob in a small ziplock. The fob is stored with the battery removed so it con't interfere with locking/starting the car with my primary key.The box is just large enough for a 2021 Tundra Key Fob. The 3 magnets are very strong and secure the box well. The box lid and closure lock plastic hinges are thin plastic. They work well, but will likely wear out quickly. That's fine for me because I plan on using the box 1-2 times a year.

Returned lesser quality key holders for this upgraded magnetic box. It remains in place and despite some rust on the contact points (winter in New England), my key remains safe inside the box. The magnet is strong and trustworthy.

Strong magnets and padded inside so your keys don't rattle. Decent build and waterproof.

Received this and noted a red rubber seal inside. Figured I'd test the seal. Submerged in water for an hour. Not a drop leaked in. The magnets are strong and I'm sure I'll have to Hulk out to yank this box off the underside of my truck. I like knowing this key box will never fall off on it's own. I considered hiding my truck key directly in this box, but found out that chip keys can become "deprogrammed" when stored around strong magnets. Not worth the risk as chip keys are really expensive and you don't want to have to pay to have one reprogrammed.
