Shu Uemura Essence Absolue Nourishing Overnight Hair Serum - Hydrates and Detangles, Reduces Frizz and Enhances Shine, Lightweight Formula

This is part of my hair routine for the past 3 months and it has made my hair so much smoother and my hair feels healthier. It definitely helps with frizz control. I have thick hair and a lot of hair and so this has been the best product I’ve used by far.After washing my hair, I will use a heat protectant and apply that to my hair before I start to blow dry. Once my hair is mostly dry, I will put the serum throughout my hair and let it sit overnight. It doesn’t come across oily or anything. I actually really enjoy the smell of it too. It’s very light and has helped my hair so much from previous years of damage to my hair.

I liked this overnight treatment, it did leave a nice, soft feeling to my hair. My regular out of the shower regimen consists of combining moroccan oil with kevin murphys leave in repair. To try this one, I only used this at first & found I needed to add the oil combo back in to get it to work through my mid shafts and ends easily. Then it was perfect! So if you need to add an oil and mix them together in your hands first, to make it work for you, go for it, it emulsifies nicely with it. The scent was good in my opinion, it was light & soft, which is nice, not overpowering. It worked great on my fly away and left my hair nice and shiny. As far as the cost, I would say it's more costly than other products that do roughly the same thing, but, you're getting really good quality ingredients, so, you need to make that decision on what you want to spend your money on & remember it's a treat for your hair.

This is the best leave in conditioner and it doesn't leave my hair greasy or sticky. It leaves it separated and detangled. It doesn't offer much shine but it makes my hair look alive again. I use on wet hair. My hair was always frizzy and looked dead, but this made a difference. The oil version of this is also great and offers a bit of a shine but I prefer this one because it doesn't make my hair greasy on second or third day. Will use this forever!

This is a lot smaller than you expect for the price point so just a heads up. That being said, it helps with frizz and doesn’t weigh down my hair. I do have very greasy hair so I have to shampoo every other day. I definitely only use this on the night before I shampoo because if I use it on the second night, I do wake up kind of greasy. So if you have fine or oily hair, just make sure you time it right

I have fine, curly ringlets that tent to develop frizz towards the bottom and this serum helps to prevent that. I just use a half squirt on my palm and then lightly touch/smooth my curls. Seems to make my hair healthier after a few weeks. I don't use this every day, just when I need a little extra help or want to add the treatment. I'm very happy! I even apply this at night when I want to have a smoother look in the morning.

I'll admit that I didn't want this product to work better than my less expensive silicone-based serums, but my hair seemed to look extra fabulous and shiny after using this one. It's very pricey for just one ounce of product so I use it on special days when I want my hair to be shiny, frizz-free, and silky. I also love the scent, despite usually being a proponent of fragrance-free products. I'm glad that I use this as the last step in my haircare routine because it smells unusually wonderful.
