Good Game
Bought this for my sons 10th birthday. He is a big cricket game and has the old Brian Lara one. He is very happy with it and him and his friends enjoy the matches that they can play. Very good price and a lot cheaper then some of the big named shops.

An okay game
International cricket 2010 is a very good game if you like to slog the ball all over the park and like being hit for six every time. The game can be quiet slow and it does not flow but it is a massive improvement from Ashes cricket 2009 in which every player needed to get on a running machine because they were so slow. The new camera angle is good for batting because you can look around the field but is not so good for bowling because you can not see where you are pitching the ball. Tournaments are okay but the IPL mode is a bit silly because it is hard to identify the teams also playing a match longer than five overs is frustrating due to repative commentary the pace of the game as I mentioned earlier. An alright game but lack of county cricket and dull gameplay let me down

Scratchy Start, but a good solid 70
International Cricket 2010 is an improvement from Ashes Cricket 2010. The obvious improvment is the new action cam, which is a nice new edition to the game. The action cam really does feel like you are actualy playing cricket and, if you dont like it, you can opt for the traditional broadcast view. That aside, the big relief in IC 2010 is the scoring rates of the A1. In Ashes Cricket, especialy in Test Matches, the A1 would seldom block a ball, seeing scoring rates of around 8 - 15, depending on the mode in which you opt for. However, this time around, the scoring rates are far more realistic, with the A1 scoring at around 3.50 - 5.00 RPO, which although is not completley realistic, allows you to enjoy playing, as it would be pointless mirroring an actual Test, with the A1 scoring at around 1 RPO when the ball is swinging. The instant tournament is also great, which allows you to play realistic cups, such as Champions trophy and the World Cup (although they are called Champions Cup and World Trophy due to licensing issues). These are really good fun to play, and you can get unlocks etc from completing the various stages. You can also play a Test series in the tournament mode, chosing how many tests in the series (from 2 to 5). You can also play 1 off ODI's, Twenty20's and Tests at any venue.Especialy in the Twenty20's and the ODI's, batting can be extremely challenging, especially on the hardest mode, and you can often see your side totaly capiculate from a decent start from 40 for 1 to about 130 all out, if you play totaly recklessly. This is where another new edition to the game, the power stick comes in, allowing you to modulate the power in which you play your shot. This is especialy useful when the field is out, allowing you to either chip the ball into gaps or place the ball there, allowing a sprinted two. You can check field placings before the ball is bowled, by pressing the left stick, which helps with your placement of your shot. However, I would have liked to have seen the 2010 / 11 Ashes down under to have featured on the game, which could have seen the realease of the game in about October or Novemeber. Not only would have it allowed for improvments but it would have been far more suitable than ridiculously realeasing it in the middle of a football World Cup.I would like to see the review system in place, and therefore make umpires decisions be more unpredictable, as it would add an exciting edge to the game. They could do with mabye adapting the English County format, with the revelvant tournaments featuring in the game, ie LV championship, CB 40, FP Twenty20 etc.The catching could also be looked at, as the catching is easy after a while.Bowling is now good, and it feels like you now can out fox the batsman, ie slipping in a slower ball to make him chip one up in the air, and THERE ARE NO RUN OUTS!!!!i do think that you could also adjust the batsman in his crease, ie batting him out his crease or deeper in his crease, particulary in the shorter forms of the game.Overall a really good and fun game; 8/ 10.

Perfect
Was purchased for the family to use and enjoy as a whole family. It did the job and was perfect for the price.

Too many glitches
The game is full of glitches and the controls are not user friendly for a smooth cricket game. More development effort needs to be put in the game.

Slog Away.
Great game if you just want to hammer (and be hammered) the ball baseball style, but if test cricket is your thing prepare to be disappointed - you soon learn there's no point batting sensibly; slog every ball and you'll end up with far more than if you try it 'Boycott style'. So it's fun... but it's not cricket.

A Decent Cricket Game For Now..
As usual cricket games lag behind those of other sports due to the lack of popularity of the sport in the likes of America/UK. Hopefully as India grows economically we will eventually start receiving top quality cricket games.Anyway onto the main review.I have found this game a lot of fun, with the new action cam being a great addition to the traditional formula most other cricket games have used. The ability to improve players stats is a nice option to. I don't generally use them because I want the teams to stay even rather than the team I use most (South Africa) getting strong due to my playing them more. I have made exceptions to this as some of those player statistics I strongly disagree with. Namely, they rate Jacques Kallis's batting ability the same as William Porterfield from Ireland. I'm sorry, but the batsman with a higher test average then Tendulker and ODI average higher than 95% of other players is rated the same in ability as a player in Ireland? Yet Tendulker, whom his average is close to is rated as the best batsmen in the game...There are also a few gameplay dissapointments as well. Namely the outragous shots the AI plays. For example you bowl a ball which pitches basically on the guys toes and the ball somehow manages to bounce a near vertical for him to guide it over the slip fielders. Also I found the back-foot/front-foot mechanics very sketchy. Sometimes when I would play a front foot shot defensive to a full delivery my batsmen would miss the ball completely and be bowled even though I timed the shot perfectly. While if I did not choose which foot to go on and block the same delivery the game will block it properly. The difficulty settings are also not very well done. The hardest two difficulty settings aren't that hard. On Test difficulty I often bowl the opposition for 100-150 and if batting first make 300+ with ease. While on the 'Slog' difficulty is just boring. You basically get no chances to take wickets, in 50-Overs took 4 wickets and they only scored about 250 Runs. I managed to get the runs with a bit of difficulty so it is a better challenge. But I just found the bowling so boring when not a single chance came in 40 overs (Had opposition for about 40 for 4).As usual I find with cricket games, they are alright games but when compared to the likes of Fifa for Football games they are just not the same quality. It is a fun game and definately the best cricket game I've played, but thats not such an achievement when they are all of an average buggy quality.
