Theres not a soft insert, but they mould to his feet, he can move about in these.

The shoes has amazing grip and are very comfortable for the small feet. Slides on and off as easy as any sock. Would buy it again.

These little shoes are great. I use them for indoor use as I have wooden floors so are wonderful to stop my little one slipping over and keeping her feet protected . True to size. They can fall off as the sock part isn't very high not often though and very easy to slip on and off so practical

These are not 12 to 18 months. My daughters feet do not fit in them. They are to big. I've had to order a smaller size. Hoping they will fit her. They are a lovely design.
