Fingerprint reader works great (can add multiple prints if you really want to give your wife access) as does the keypad. Low lumen blue light inside is a nice touch as is the low light keypad. While the cable could be cut with decent wire cutters it is a layer of security to keep the box in place. Mine is around the thick wooden leg of the night stand. Construction is sturdy, easy to replace batteries, easy set-up, and as you can see plenty of room for my G-23 with light and an extra mag. This is as good as it gets especially at this price. (4 AAA batteries are included as well.)

This is a finger print opening gun safe. Glock and a few magazines fit well. Opens fast and fits in drawer or under bed. Good way to keep kids safe and still have fast access, if needed.

This is my second safe from seller and totally love the new updates. The setup is even easier then previous model as the set up button is now separate from the battery door. This makes additional code input easier as you no longer need to remove the battery door. This is especially handy if you’ve already mounted the safe in a place that makes reaching it difficult. The new hinge with auto open lid design makes much more efficient use of space as the function no longer relies on a hydraulic lifter which use to take a up a lot more space. The system is not built into the gears so there more internal space available. The addition of a cable lock that was not on previous model provides more flexibility for installation.The only thing keeping me from giving it a perfect score is that it would be nice to include a light inside that was on the previous model I purchased, but I remedied that with one of the motion sensor leds you can get from Amazon. Once the lid opens the light turns on so it’s not a big issue. The safe is small enough so that even without the light it’s still very easy to see inside so it is still very much worth the purchase. Instructions were clear and set up was a breeze.

I ordered two of these, one for our bedroom upstairs and one for our downstairs living room. It is perfect for handguns, documents, jewelry, etc. It opens very easily and quickly. Very secure. I enjoy the peace of not having to worry about our grandchildren getting into my medications or our handguns. Highly recommend. Great quality and price. My husband was very impressed overall with this safe.

The media could not be loaded.  The VERSafe appears to be an upgrade to the AWEsafe of which I own 2. The main improvements are that the inner area of the safe is slightly larger (10 3/4" vs. 10" on the AWEsafe). It also has an added steel cable option for securing the safe to an irregular object rather than it bolting in. Other minor differences include the access key being on the front rather than top of the unit and AAA vs AA batteries. The outer size is the same. Overall a solid safe with the added interior room.

I cannot figure out how to install the batteries, nothing on you tube, can someone assist?
