Pocket Oxford Thesaurus

At first glance I wasn’t filled with confidence when I read on the front ‘the world’s most trusted dictionaries’ as I haven’t brought a dictionary I brought a thesaurus. Nevertheless I have had a flick and found it to be a very comprehensive and useful tool.Secondly I would like to know how big your pockets are, the product even says pocket on it. Have you seen the size of it I’ll need at least a backpack to carry it round with me. I brought the thesaurus as a joke to a fellow colleague, we’ve planned a lovely day out to go and watch Lincoln down in south, now I’m going to have to carry what I describe as a medium to large book round with me all day.Staying dedicated to the cause I will be ‘that guy with a thesaurus’. I think moving forward there may be some work needed when detailing books as ‘pocket sized’ and potentially even researching the size of pockets in various types of trouser.Thank you for the speedy delivery anyway although I do pay for prime and that is to be expected, I just wanted to try and end on a high.Have a glorious weekend.

The item itself is fine. Decent size (but won't fit in many pockets) for someone who can't handle a full size model. There are a few words that I am surprised are not included but that is probably inevitable. My concern is the binding - after four months use, it is already showing signs of wear. And I do mean use and not over use - the recipient attempts about 3 or 4 crosswords a week.

I looked at a few of these in the local stationers before buying here at a better price.This gives the word, a short definition and its opposite.Often gives use in a short sentence which is useful as if kidsare uncertain of alternatives then clarification of the original word can be helpful.Several alternatives are then listed.My son refers to this pretty much every time he has a piece of essay work or a report for school or college.A good buy and well used.

Had a quick look, and I am very satisfied. This is a gift which I know he’ll love.

Just tight for my granddaughter for school. Fits in her bag nicely.

Bought it as a pocket thesaurus, turned out to be huge, needs a giant pocket to fit in

Its a bit on the large size for a pocket book, nonetheless, it's a great value item. Ideal for students

Definitive English thesaurus but beware it is hardly Pocket. It's too thick and too heavy for a school bag.
