Versatile Interactive Creative Toy
The Skillmatics Creative Toy Magnetopia aims to spark creativity in young minds. With 60+ magnetic pieces, it offers interactive pretend play. However, the overall quality of the magnets and the magnetic board may not meet everyone's expectations. While it's a thoughtful gift for imaginative play, those seeking top-tier magnetic toys may want to explore higher-end options.

Educational and engaging
I was really excited to introduce my 4 year old to Skillmatics Magnetopia, hoping it would be a fantastic, imaginative toy. The set comes with 9 jigsaw pieces that form the magnetic board, but unfortunately, they're a bit warped and don't straighten out, which is a big letdown. However, the kit itself is brimming with possibilities! With over 60 magnetic pieces, it opens up endless opportunities for imaginative play. From furnishing rooms to creating scenarios, it sparks creativity, hand-eye coordination, and plenty of interactive discussions.Despite the board issue, the pieces are diverse and engaging. They stimulate creative thinking, planning, and discussion, plus they're versatile enough to be used on surfaces like the fridge, expanding play beyond the included board. My 4-year-old loved diving into this set! It’s been a go-to toy and has seen more playtime compared to others, earning a thumbs up from us!What stands out is the high-quality graphics and child-safe materials, promoting safe, screen-free play. It’s a fantastic tool for developing essential skills like spatial reasoning and fine motor skills.Although it's a good toy, I’d have given it the full five stars if the magnets were flat and stuck better. Despite that setback, it's been a hit in our house, encouraging extended play sessions and creativity.

Fun and no mess, what's not to love? Easy to set up & not too complicated, so younger family members can follow along without difficulties. This is one of the few activities where the younger kids will all enjoy sitting and working together for a few hours - wholesome family time

Good in theory
I ordered the design your home edition, I liked the thought of having a big floor game that my toddler granddaughter could interact with and keep her occupied without needing to be overly supervised or a necessity to join in!As soon as taking it out of the box the problems started. Some of the floor tiles were bent out of shape which was causing issues on trying to flatten and lock together…this in turn made attaching the pieces to stay put was causing more frustration for her than any actual enjoyment. After an overnight flatten attempt, by warming them slightly with a hairdryer first, then placing under a mound of heavy books with an iron on top they did seem more usable as much flatter.Problem 2…I have mainly carpeted floors, with only a small area and kitchen hard floor laminated. The softness of the carpet underneath was proving difficult, as the jigsaw pieces would become unlocked and bend if knelt on or slide across away from her. The hard floors would prove better, but at this time of year, far too cold and hard to play in any comfort. It’s been packed away back in its box, to come out again in the warmer weather…she didn’t seem too concerned about it either, so obviously not a favourite of hers.

Magnetopia
This is great! Lots of fun to be had and my little one likes creating stories as if she’s playing with a real dolls house. Unfortunately some of the pieces don’t lay flat which makes it a bit difficult but she still manages to have lots of fun with this

Misshapes cause disappointment
Got this for a family friend who is 5 years old with the idea that they could not only play with it on the floor but, being magnetic, they could stick the jigsaw bits to the wall and then play with it on the wall. Great idea, yes?Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with this toy. There are 9 jigsaw background pieces which make up the scene. However, they’re not flat and are bent and so don’t clip together properly. Not only that but some of the pieces don’t have the jigsaw parts to clip into each other so they don’t fasten together at all. Very odd. When you do get it together, it’s a very bumpy play area. (See pics)It’s also the same story with the magnetic pieces to place onto the background too. Most of them are warped, some have creases in and some have dents of other pieces that have been tightly pressed against them which deforms the item. Again, this makes for a very bumpy play area. The only way to make this usable is to lay each piece under some very heavy books and try and straighten them out. Trying to do it by hand will not cause them to be straightened properly and you may also end up damaging them.Overall, I’m very disappointed with this item. The idea is fantastic, but the execution is extremely disappointing and I don’t want to spend hours flattening the pieces so that they can be used properly.

Novel developmental toy
On the face of it, you might think that isn't much entertainment, but then you need to put yourself in a young child's mind.An important part of growing up is learning to make decisions and rationalising the reasons driving them. This toy encourages a child to identify and decide where to place objects and what is the reason they go there, all good stuff.Children are intrinsically largely 'powerless' as their carers make most the choices for them but even as children we develop a desire for self control, any parent who has had a battle over food will know how much a child wants to practice self determination any way they can. This magnetic activity can let them make some choices in a positive environment. Its reasonable value as its a fair size with lots of pieces. I am in two minds if the House one might have been better than the Princess one from an educational point of view, but its probably not as colourful and fun. Not sure. I like it.

Entertaining for child and parent
A few of puzzle pieces came bent which makes it hard to keep locked into place but other than that it's wonderful. It holds my almost 3 year olds attention and honestly I've enjoyed playing with it as well. It comes with so many pieces. The quality is really good. Definitely makes a good gift

Board pieces are not flat
The board puzzle pieces do not lay flat and don't connect together that well. I'm not sure what the problem is with that maybe the company will fix it other than that comes with a bunch of little house pieces furniture, animals, etc. We have used the magnetic pieces on the fridge, dishwasher, and everywhere else that magnets can stick. They stick very well. My 3 years old still loves it and loves to play with it every chance she gets. The board pieces not sticking together well did not stop me from buying the Princess and Unicorn one for Christmas. I know she will love that one too.

Quality
The board arrived slightly bent and the magnetic pieces didn’t stick that well to the board.

Poor quality
Pieces were curved and wouldn’t lay flat which completely ruined the magnetic effect.

Not what I expected
I thought it was going to be several different scenes with the magnets. It’s one large puzzle with just one scene. The puzzle doesn’t connect seamlessly. It’s popped up in areas and the magnets don’t seem very magnetic.
