A wonderful scrapbooking and papercraft addition!
This box is AMAZING. I do a lot of scrapbooking/ card making, attend a lot of local scrapbook store events, and teach classes in art and paper crafts, so I needed a solution for my scrapbooking odds and ends that has lots of space, is easy to carry, and is durable enough to stand up to a lot of tossing into the car. Nailed it!First of all, the Super Satchel has a very large main compartment that for me, carries all 20-something of my Tim Holtz inks, all my wet embossing materials, scissors, various ribbons, glue dots, twine, and a few other bits. On top of the main compartment is a thinner compartment that is separated into regularly sized cubbies (similar to plastic sewing notions boxes). As other reviewers have noted, it is a super bummer that these compartment sizes cannot be adjusted, however if you are creative, you can kind of work it out. In this compartment (which can be latched separately from the main compartment so when you open the main bit, all your top compartment stuff doesn't go spilling out), I have stored Stickles, glues, alcohol inks, a water brush, glitter, and embossing powders. On each of the sides is a smaller version of the top compartment that fold down. In these, I store my Tim Holtz ink blending foams and I have each box labeled to keep them straight. Super handy!Secondly, although heavy with all of my goodies in it, this box is easy to carry with a study, well-attached handle that is far enough from the actual Satchel that your hand isn't brushing against the plastic (a pet peeve of mine with other carrying boxes).Lastly, this thing can take a beating! I accidentally dropped it down the stairs on the landing at my apartment complex and not only did it not break, it didn't open either! Amazing! Nothing worse than rushing through Seattle rain to get to a class and having your things fall all over the wet sidewalk.A fantastic product, 100% worth the price. Get it.

Good idea for a satchel
I was shocked at how big this was when I got it. Even though it is a lot bigger than I thought, it doesn't really work for what I wanted. I bought this for my quilting/sewing supplies, thinking I would put my rotary cutter, scissors, pins, etc, in the top, and use the bottom for my fabric squares/fat quarters, etc.But the compartments in the top rack aren't wide enough for my rotary cutter, large scissors, etc. I would almost have to use the large bottom compartment for those things, and they would roll around. And if you try to put your pins in the top, you need to ensure the box they are in is very secure, because if they spill, there is nothing to keep them from falling into all the other compartments--the sides of the compartments don't go up far enough to prevent small objects from falling through. This would NOT work well for beads. Not sure what I will use this for, as I don't think it will work for my quilting accessories. It's a nice idea, but needs some changes. I may use it strictly to store thread.

LOVE THIS THING!
I love this because it is so portable. I can take it from room to room and have all my supplies right there. I can sit in my comfy chair and hand quilt with it by my side. Or can have it next to me while at my sewing machine, to grab things out. The portability makes it so much easier for anyone. The only thing I would change about it is instead of having the lower section under a tray, I would have had a slide out drawer in the bottom. I like how I can keep my seam rippers, in 1 side compartment and scissors on the other side compartment. The top surface is great for finger pressing quilt blocks on. I use it as a work surface on my lap. This really is a handy dandy unit.

Too big, too small, too hard, too fragile
I was very disappointed upon receiving the Super Satchel. For the too big:- This bin is very big (18" x 18" x 5" tall) and also very heavy, even empty. I cannot imagine carrying this thing when fully loaded. The too small:- Based on the pictures I thought that I would be able to put threads in the top and rotary cutters and such on the sides. Boy was I wrong.- The dividers are 1.25" wide. So only very small spools of thread would fit as shown in the pictures. There are 7 rows like this. Also the 2 side compartments are divided into three (3) 1.25" wide sections so only tiny narrow things would even fit.- There are two (2) larger compartments on the tops and bottom that are 2.75" wide. That is a good size. Lots of things could fit in there, but there are only 2 of them and they can not be sub-divided.The too hard:-to open... the top part. You have unlatch the grey part, then push on this plastic lever that looks like it will snap off with too much pressure. The too fragile:- Mine arrived damaged. It was not packed well and the box was smashed so the bin got smashed. Needless to say that it will be going back and not being replaced. This just doesn't work for sewing supplies. Maybe needle crafting maybe, knitting, crocheting, maybe, sewing/quilting not going to happen.
