These candles are gorgeous and add a lovely ambience to any room they are placed in. The biggest plus in my opinion is that they are safe to use, so they are right now in my kid's room and I don't have to worry about anything catching fire which is great. They take 2 AA batteries each (6 in total) and the batteries seem to last a good while too until I need to charge them again. Very pretty, elegant-looking glass lights that would also make a very nice gift.

FOLLOW-ON UPDATE: Replacements received a day later, perfect, all good. Very pleased. It’s not having an issue / problem with an item – it happens! , it’s how it’s dealt with that counts.UPDATE: Having contacted the seller, who responded very quickly, they are sending out a replacement, so I can’t say fairer than that. If the replacement has issues or any problems, I will update further, otherwise will update again once received.On the face of it, this is a superb, attractive set of 3 x LED flame effect candles in (gold effect) glass. The candle (I say candle, because only one worked) looks great when lit – one of the better types, as well as making a nice decorative piece when not in use.The candles are battery powered, with each of them requiring 2 x AA batteries (not included). It’s a shame they aren’t USB rechargeable, so for me I think the best choice is to use rechargeable batteries, which is exactly what I do with this type. The candles come complete with a generic for this type of LED candle, remote control allowing change from static to flicker, timer, as well as on and off.The flicker effect isn’t bad, comparable to many others, and better than some, and quite effective. The effect appears fairly random, quite natural looking.In summary, nice and attractive, but rubbish quality / quality control LED candles. The glass doesn’t feel particularly fragile or thin, which is good. If they worked, they would look delightful on wintry evenings with the lighting low / off. Best avoided, don’t waste your money.
