Fire Beauty Fireplace Screen, Wrought Iron Mesh, Baby Safe Spark Guard Protector with 2-Doors Large Flat Guard Screens (35 x 28 Inch)

I wanted a fireplace screen to polish the look of our fireplace without being distracting or too ornamental. This product delivers and am very pleased with how it looks. I love that I can push right up against the opening and slide the doors open as to not block the heat.

Although the product arrived damaged, the replacement came promptly. The fire screen has a simple straight line design and looks beautiful with the type fireplace I have in my 1940’s home. The curved legs are stable and the screen slides easily.

This fireplace screen is made well, was packaged nicely. The screen has no weird sharp edges, no weird smell and no imperfections in the paint - very even and imperfection-free painting. Looks great, was easy enough to assemble. The directions were clear enough, but could be a little better...for example, not everyone would 'know' to use the wrench to tighten the bolts...Using common sense and following the directions & most will be fine. The only reason I took a star off is because all along the top front of the smooth portion of the screen there are indentions incrementally across the top. You can only see them up close and in the right light - it's just not the place for imperfections...*the was some rust looking powder in a few places, but it wiped away with a wet paper towel no problem!

What a good idea to be able to slide open the screen i stead of moving the whole thing out of the way. Unfortunately it arrived with some of the top bit of coming away from the frame, and looking a little rusty in that area. I don’t have the energy to return this sizable item, so I’ll probably try to hack a fix for that top part. The doors seem to open/close smoothly.

I purchased & RETURNED 2 different styles by this brand/seller. BOTH HAD TO BE RETURNED BECAUSE THEY ARRIVED DAMAGED, while the box itself was fine. In my opinion the problem is the packaging not the screen. The cardboard box is thin cardboard. The screen is in a thin plastic bag (what does that accomplish?) & the separate box holding the handles & feet is flopping around inside the box. I’m guessing the flopping accessories box was the cause for the dents in the mesh screening. I ultimately bought & kept a similar screen by a different manufacturer. That one came in a box that was more than twice as thick, included heavy rubber corner protectors on the screen & the screen itself was wrapped securely in bubble wrap, not just a thin bag. Seeing how this last purchase was packaged is what made me realize that while the Fire Beauty screens were very nice & had tons of style & potential, their packaging was ultimately the problem; at least for me. I also found that while the welds were not messy & were evenly placed, they were on the top front & therefore visible. Doors were a bit hard to slide but we have a gas log fireplace so would not really be using this feature often anyway. Bottom line, both arrived damaged.

Lastima, pues si me gusto el producto. Vino con un defecto de terminacion en un lado de las puertas, las puntas salidas del alambre no permitian el cierre correcto. Lo devolvi, voy a pedir otro esperando que llegue bien.
