Helpful, works for rodents too
If you know anything about birds you'll know they hate new stuff. The best way is to leave it in their cage. So when my bird got old enough to eat veggies these were perfect! He started nibbling on them after a few hours and they work so well! I don't know if It's just my little guy but he likes to slide down it while navigating his cage. It also works for my guinea pig and rabbit. They are rather skittish so they love to come over and snack on it.

I don’t recommend it, I am sorry
It works okay. It is too short for smaller birds, (African Grey), the length is okay for Umbrella Cockatoo. The bottom piece is not big enough for Cockatoo. I wish those older skewers were still available. I don’t recommend it, because my birds are not able to anything off of it.

Sturdy product but not easy to use?
Maybe I'm missing the trick here, but it's difficult to kabob vegitables on it because the tip is threaded and has a flat end. I kept trying to push vegi through real hard and stabbing myself at the end... Gave up using it... Maybe it's just not for me.

Great concept, needs better assembly
My only suggestion would be to make the bottom screw more sturdy. It unscrews extremely easily and for little birds it’s fine. A larger bird can swallow it.

My birds love to play with their food!
I have two Lovebirds who like to play with their food, so I'm always looking for ways to create fun foraging and enrichment activities for them. These skewers are perfect for offering big chunks of produce to them. I hang from the top of the cage and they hang onto the cage ceiling while reaching for their food. It's all good exercise too, and keeps them occupied. They love it.

Qupid.The.Budgie - Think its a toy
At first when we placed Qupid in his new home, we didnt have any fruits or veggies on the skewers yet. Qupid thought it was a toy and was hanging from it. Eventually we put apples, grapes and veggies but he doesnt care for that stuff yet.Great product! I feel it does its job and is easy to clean!

there is no way to tighten the nut
there is no way to tighten the nut on here, when you get to the top of the threads it just slips right up to the top. with that you can only put hard stuff on here & make sure it comes all the way down to the threads, not a good product.

He does enjoy the game of it
My green cheek conure gets the little screw off within an hour, even if it's cranked up all the way. He does enjoy the game of it, but I wish it tightened using a better method. I'd worry a bigger bird could eat it.
