I had been using cheesecloth and a pot with a steamer insert. This is so much easier to store and clean, and my Greek yogurt came out beautifully. I love the size and can put the mesh strainer into the dishwasher. It has made making yogurt fun and easy!

Does not have the capacity to make 12 cups of yogurt. The screen where the yogurt is strained will hold a half gallon (8 cups) worth of yogurt. The capacity of the plastic container may hold 12 cups but the strainer that holds the yogurt does not.

Have to return it because is 2 quarters not a gallon

Loved the concept and the look of this strainer. I've been using an inexpensive strainer that was working "pretty good" for making Greek yogurt, but I wanted to upgrade and increase the volume. Unfortunately, this strainer does not strain as well as my small, inexpensive one! Perhaps it's almost "too" fine of a mesh ... it clogs. Like I said ... I was disappointed.

Expensive for a bit of plastic but work great.
