Parkhurstof Canada 10-1/2 Inch Cotton Knit Beret (Red)

I have been wearing this particular Parkhurst hat for many years, and have been complimented on it. The hats are well made, washable (gently, with mild soap, and it's best to air dry), slip easily on and off, and can be folded into a purse or pocket or flat in a suitcase. When hair gets a bit long, using a hairnet underneath can help capture any wisps and curls. The hat colors are nice, too (I have brown, as well). Hatagories' online price plus shipping cost is cheaper then the price plus tax of the store where I've gotten them in the past. There was no tracking on the shipment, but it arrived quickly by regular mail.

Purchased my first Parkhurst cotton knit baret on a trip to Montreal/Canada many years ago and have been a loyal male (vs. female) fan/customer ever since. I tend to sweat with many hats I've tired (even on cold winter days) but not with this little beauty. The nice/light cotton is quality and works well with the design. I have one in navy and one in black but no matter which I often get compliments on how it looks (usually told I look like a French teacher :)) Anyway, guys go for it...you'll be satisfied and happy that you did...and wear it in good health!

I have one in red and it measures close to 11" diameter. This one is only 10" across and I had hoped it would be the identical to the red one. It is snugger, but not too small as I do not have a large head or big hair and most hats are too big for me. I love the fact that it is cotton; I have wool berets that are lined and very attractive on me, but even with the lining they itch terribly after a short time. The cotton can be worn all day (great for a 'bad hair' day). Because of the discrepancy in size (the red one is a Parkhurst too) I can only give this four stars.

Got one in olive/spring green as a gift. Liven not my color of choice. Immediately ordered in black, saving $ for cobalt blue and cherry red in time. My mom in law, who have me the original gift has a deep navy blue one, easily dating motherboard 80s. It looks brand new, and She lives in it in the summer. Very, very, very soft. Gentle in the skinhead :)

Very nice quality. I wanted a small beret but this will not work for larger heads.

This beret is skimpy. I have a small head & very short hair & it was still too small. Shipping & return were expensive.

I'm now a devoted fan of Parkhurst cotton berets - beautiful, itch-free and comfortable. I have since bought 5 more Parkhursts in various styles. I plan on expanding my collection and then doing same for my Mom! The pointelle design is more malleable for styling though but the basic is still a classic!

A very nice , basic beret that suits my needs well. I wish I had discovered it ealier and will definitely order a again when more colors are available.
